Letโ€™s take a tour of the chicken coop and run that my husband built. We did not use any building plans. He just thought through it as he built it, but he says heโ€™s not good at carpentry! ๐Ÿ”จ We used plywood, pressure-treated lumber, and hardware cloth. Almost everything is painted, and we used a special type of paint on the plywood underneath the deep bedding area to protect the wood from moisture. Our deep bedding is hemp.     After having a chicken coop and a run for a while, the best advice I can give anyone starting out, is no matter what, if possible, build a coop and a run that is 2 feet taller than yourself. Your back will thank you later and itโ€™s just so much easier than stooping down every time you have to go in the run. This is a fantastic coop and run!
