Dad was with the 101st, made the D Day jump, Operation Market Garden and was in Bastogne. We love him and miss him. I'm his grateful son and am proud of him and his buddies.
  • The actor portraying Montgomery was incredible, his appearance and attitude were spot on.

"We may never see their like again." Gave me chills and brought up tears. 😢

My great uncle was a medic on DDay he is 101 years old now , stopped driving at 96. I’m emergency medicine. I asked him how it was…..he said you did the best you could. So true.
  • Tom Selleck Is an excellent actor This movie is well written and acted Truly the Greatest Generation

A truly wonderful film. Tears when he interacted with the troops and when he said “we may never see their like again”.
  • My Father fought in that European theater during WW2 and indeed it was bloody and horrific, luckily he survived even being captured by thr Germans. Even after all that he always stated that he would do it all over again to make sure we would be free as Americans. God bless you soldiers as you serve our country, and thank you for your Valor and your sacrifice.

Outstanding! "We may never see their like again". God bless them all, including my Dad.
  • It speaks volumes to Eisenhower's character that went to meet the paras he sent out...
  • Tom Selleck played his greatest role in this movie, he was both ruthless commander, diplomat, and human in this movie!
  • Ike had to speak directly to very soldiers that were gonna die , that's tuff, young boys gave there lives. God bless America.
  • My father was one of them, we will never see the like of them again.
  • My grandfather flew in the belly turret as an aerial gunner for 3.5yrs. He stayed on after his 25 mission requirement was met to finish the job. I am named after him. His flight jacket will always be too big for me to fill no matter what I fly and fight and do for peace. He is my hero. He is my role model. He is buried in Henderson, Nevada. I will go visit his grave this summer, God willing, and sit and listen to the wind across the desert. The greatest generation is the greatest generation of all time. But that does not mean that another generation will soon be called to duty in the quest for freedom and peace, and to prevent war by being strong enough to cause the enemy to think twice before risking everything in their quest to destroy humanity. Never forget. Never quit. Freedom is not free. It must be paid for each and every moment of each and every day, everywhere. May God lead us to His Peace through strength in His Son, Jesus Christ.
  • My Grandfather was a tail gunner on the B-17 also known as the Flying Fotress he never talked about his experiences. He went on to live a long life passed away in 2005. Thank you Grandpa and Thank you Greatest Generation for your service and sacrafice!!!!!!

One of my favorites - good to see again. Selleck knocked it out of the park with this flick. Thanx 👍👍👍

Tom Selleck delivers the goods, no doubt! But how about Ian Mune, as Sir Winston Churchill, Prime Minister? Huh?? Ay?! BRAVO !! 👌🏼👏🏼
  • I was a paratrooper, 101st , in 1960-1963, I always wondered if we could have been half as good as the ones back then.
  • This movie is not simply about a great general and leader in Dwight D. Eisenhower. It is about the willingness to make hard and often gut wrenching decisions that sometimes carry grave risks. That is something that we used to see but sadly don't see in today's leaders. Today, it's all about expediency and what's best for one's ambition. Eisenhower understood that there's more to humanity than what's popular, and that is why he was such a good leader. We need more like him, especially in today's tumultuous age.

Tom Selleck should have done more projects like this. His portrayal of Eisenhower is excellent. I cannot help but feel his skills as an actor have been unrealized and underutilized in the formulaic television series he’s starred in.
