The franchise debuted on the Nintendo 64 with 'Perfect Dark', and was universally praised. Due to Microsoft's acquisition of Rare, the series jumped ship to the Xbox line of consoles from 2002 onward. The series combined has sold over four million units worldwide.

One thing I've always hated about Did You Know Gaming is they talk about unused music without playing it so we can hear it.

When it comes to N64, everybody mentions Goldeneye, which was an awesome game, but Perfect Dark was better in all ways. Kinda underrated game.

I never thought Jonathan's name being Dark meant he was her brother. I always assumed Dark was just a codename given to agents of the Carrington Institute, similar to Double 0 agents at MI6

5:00 I was one of the designers on this game, and more specifically put the keyhole in there. It did serve a purpose. 1) To generate debate on what might be there, to get people thinking about things beyond what they see in the game world. 2) As a homage to super mario world on the SNES when you found the hidden keys, and it would play that keyhole animation. The question mark was also my crude attempt at doing the same thing, just different which I regret as unlike the keyhole it was much easier to see and the question mark was not as subtle as the keyhole which could only be seen with Erazer/Far sight Gun or a hack if I recall. I knew you guys would find it, I was a game tester on GE before promotion and It was always fun to see the crazy stuff the fans would discover.

There is something i've been wondering for a while. Snide's theme from DK 64, sort of sounds like the Carrington Institute's theme. I know Rare did the music for both, it sounds similar at some parts to me.

Even though Eveline Fischer did indeed work as a composer for Rare, she did not compose any music for this game (Kirkhope and Norgate did).
