Just notice how they called travelling during those years... just worlds apart difference with how it is today.

The Celtic was a power team that year. Bird, McHale, Paris, and Walton were unstoppable.

Game 2 is where it was at. Michael Jordan verses the soon to be World Champion Boston Celtics. 63 points. Still the NBA single game playoff scoring record.

I never wanted Chicago to lose so badly as this game. "Where's Michael? Where's Michael?" If he has the ball, he's shooting 'cause he sure can't pass. Three assists---big whoop. He seems determined not to be a team player.
  • 80's basket is the best ever. This match is astonishing. 1986 was a hreat year --especially for the Celtics: write by a Laker fan 😮

I wasn't even born so it's not nostalgia, the 80s was peak NBA and it's a shadow of itself in the present.

MJ coming off a broken right foot early in the season... 1st playoff game ever for him... 2nd playoff game ever for Mike it's a Smithsonian performance against the mighty Celtics... Bulls still got swept but # 23 put the world on notice at the Old Boston Garden big time

49 then 63 in consecutive game in the playoffs against an all-time level team. Imagine someone doing this today.

Classic team basketball by the Celtics, too many weapons for the young Bulls. Little did the world know what game 2 had in store in terms of fun basketball and historical performances
