Dave was doing a gig years ago at Dangerfields NYC my daughter got to see him. To this day it was the single greatest live show she ever saw. When she talks about it she still laughs. YOU CAN'T CANCEL GREATNESS!!!!

His mom is really a beautiful lady, she raised him well. I mentioned his mother only because she was involved in this video, not because I'm dismissing his father's role in raising him. Of course BOTH parents did a great job.

Comedy is therapy for dave. Why else would he do random sets in parks for free. Not just to test out new jokes thats for sure

Very few have ever been able to work a room like Chappelle, just effortless improvised comedy and everyone hanging on his every word. Pure genius.

While attending NYU 1990 we used to stand in circle and listen Dave sharing his jokes Washington Square park. . He was a skinny dude. Funny. I knew he would rise but never this high!!!!! God bless you and your talent.

Chappelle is the real deal. Had me crying and laughing. I love how his mother is behind him 100%ā¦and nana was too. Sure wish I had seen him in the early years like I did Robin Williams.
