It is worth noting that the game has grown globally since 1992, but the NBA was also more insular leading to it being more American. In 2024, Oscar Schmidt plays in the NBA. Dino Radja, Zan Tabak, Toni Kukoc, Arvydas Sabonis, etc would have already been in the NBA (geopolitics also being different would have had Sabonis in the NBA long before he did). With how the rules have changed, Drazen Petrovic would have been first team All-NBA, and not a role player. It is kind of insulting to the previous generation, especially the guys on those Croatia and Lithuania teams. Also, just don't ignore that 1992 and 1993 Jordan was at his absolute individual peak. Chris Mullin shot 45% from three the next year. Drexler, Barkley, Ewing, Stockton, and Malone were hitting their primes. Say what you will about LeBron, KD, and Steph. They are the best of their era, and still excellent players, but are past their best. LeBron was at his peak in 2012 and 2013. He isn't washed, but he isn't what he was at his peak. The same for Steph and DK. ANT probably isn't at his peak yet. The player in his prime is probably Embiid, and FIBA has not been kind to him so far. Booker and Tatum are close to it, but are not likely to be featured players.
