Hey guys and welcome back to RBR, and to the 3rd Generation, or G3 #Panamera!  The first #Panamera or G1 was, much like the Original #Cayenne, an ugly duckling. G2 blessed us with a truly good looking #Porsche sedan, and even a wagon — And new Generation 3 is the most aggressive looking yet! With a sharpness we’ve never seen both in the top dog E #Hybrid Version and especially in the standard Body — this is a good looking sedan!

Despite that, on the face of it you’d be forgiven for assuming it’s a just heavy facelift, to give the Panamera a last hurrah before Taycan seemingly takes over... But you’d be making a big mistake - the new Panamera is pulling ZERO punches! It’s arrived with a solution to the biggest problem we all have heavy hybrids, managing their weight! —  all thanks to the biggest suspension advancement seen in years.

That, along with a HUGELY improved hybrid set up, it’s looking to set the bar for all other combustion and hybrid sports sedans. Today we get to drive the Top Dog Turbo E Hybrid V8 and the base level V6 Panamera. We will also check out the interior, which has seen massive change changes too, and I’ll of course fill you in on every element they have changed and upgraded under the skin!

So let’s check out the Brand new G3 Panamera!

Lucky for us, Porsche still believes in the combustion car, with them renewing and revamping their V8 and V6 engines to be future proof for many years to come. The V8 is back in the Turbo, but heavily updated! This gives up 519PS by itself and pairs with an updated new electric engine which sits inside our PDK - The old unit in G2 Panamera only gave 136PS, this new one gives 190PS by itself!

So that’s a system total of:

680PS
930NM
0-60 of 3.0 (sports chrono)

More imporantly, the battery is now higher capacity but has kept its sized reduce with a 25kw sized unit hidden in the back. This has boosted the range figure by a MASSIVE amount. From a nigh useless 40 or so KM, to much more useful 90km in real world use! Finally giving you good a reason to take the weight penalty.

Weight is 2360kg, so still a heavy old thing. Let’s see if their new suspension system can do something about that.

The V6 cars are also improved over their last generations by about 10% in every area, thanks to upgrades to the engine - both give 353PS and now have a sports exhaust option.

Also just announced are two more hybrids - 4 E Hybrid  and 4S E Hybrid - both are detailed in the video.

Today the big topic is Suspension! We will cover the Standard new Two valve air suspension with PASM, with two valve dampers.

AND Porsche’s New Active Ride Suspension - E Hybrid Model ONLY option. It is an unprecedented Upgrade over every other competitive suspension system with an even further breadth of ability between Luxury and Sportiness, encroaching on Top luxury cars, and the sports car. The stars of the show are the Active shock absorbers, which are connected its own hydraulic pump. These shock absorbers have 2 valve tech, and thanks to the volume flow generated by the pump, this allows for lightning quick reactions to rebound and compression at each wheel - What the heck does that mean? What the video, and you’ll be shocked!

It even helps for luxury, we have the super cool easy entry lift system that leads to a massive interior update - in line with new cayenne and #taycan.

Finally we will of course drive the car on track here in Seville, for our first glimpse at how this car is changing the game!

Up next on RBR is the New Hybrid X5, Hybrid E300 and MUCH MUCH More!! Subscribe to support us and see them first. :)

Been on this channel for a long while now. It doesn't make sense to me why it hasn't got 5M subscribers. Info is honest and on point. Editing is top notch and he always has the best cars to show us. Love the content. Promotion, promotion promotion.

The video editing while covering the interior 👌
  • @faridalghali5246
I love your videos! Especially the way you can super-impose the various models and model years on an existing vehicle. Its become your trademark - I note you're doing it for the interiors too, now. Thank you so much.

I've always said, if you only have space for 1 car that is a sedan/has room/is sporty, go for the Panamera. If you can afford two, just get a real 2-door sports car/weekend car and whatever utility/daily without all the compromise.
  • @koochie88
Great Overview - no one does it better...Love how ou show previous Gens to see how it has developed / blossomed!! Loving that Dark Gold colour...... Turbo E-Hybrid it is for Me!

I have G1 Panamera and I don’t care what anyone says, it looks amazing and certainly stands out more than the second generation.
  • @a.h.176
the first generation look classic Porsche to me not ugly. This one looks like a Kia Stinger
  • @Diesel8Petar
It's not just you, Raz. The Sport pack looks less aggressive than the "standard" turbo. And again, a great review as always!
  • @aneebaba06
I will add on to the list of compliments, the interior VFX are fantastic. It's one thing when a reviewer mentions the changes but we can't always remember or be bothered to look for the photos on google from the previous gen cars, so showing those old interiors is brilliant.
  • @noturbirthday
Video production on another level. Appreciate the full dedication and reviews, cheers!

I had a Panamera 4 hybrid as a loaner from Porsche Reading the other day......what a car , i was well impressed!
  • @DanielSadjadian
Hopefully Porsche will make a Turbo S (and Turbo S E-Hybrid) version. That V8 is capable of more power for sure.
  • @25jai123
Thanks for the review. One thing we consider when driving is managing the weight transfer and where the grip is. For example, trail braking can help point the nose of the car into a corner and provide more grip to the front wheels. Does the active ride make any changes to that?
  • @nickosolis
I will say that the looks -- for me personally -- on G3 are a little polarizing. I say that now but hopefully the looks start to grow on me if I ever do see it in person. G2 honestly still has my heart in terms of overall looks and dimensions. The rear end just looks so proportioned and more handsome than the new model but, maybe I need to give it a chance.
  • @josephiousbrosif
5:50 That low front view looks like a stretched out R35 GT-R, especially in this color
  • @rmixfaats
Man , u r amazing with you videos, as a car fan , your channel is the best when it comes to video editing and producing, even the info delivery, thanks
