About the hate for Spain: I think this has something to do with the concept of the big five. In my opinion it is very unfair that Spain, The United Kingdom, Italy and Germany are placed in the final automatically, just because they come up with money to organize the Eurovision. In order to get people from other countries to vote for them, their entries have to be really striking and amazing, like Soldi by Mahmood which became second, and their winning entry in 2021.
