As a puerto rican, I can tell you, we take a lot of pride in our food! We are very passionate about our cuisine. A lot of people don't know, but the piña colada everybody loves actually originated here. Thank you for showing the world how good our food is. 💖🇵🇷

When you go back for round two of alcapurias and find more bacalaitos, we can tell you're genuinely enjoying it. Only thing your missing is home cooking. I love that you mentioned that San Juan is the oldest city in the US. Specifically that it is in the US because so many people don't even realize that it is part of US. Im so happy you enjoyed my homeland and thank you for helping me reminiscence!

When I went to Puerto Rico for a wedding, I stayed in Rincón. Lemme tell y’all, I love Spanish food and the PR food stands had some of the best cuisine I’ve ever tasted. This owner of an empanada stand across the street from our condo made me special spicy empanadas every and only charged me 50 cents. I still crave them to this day.

So glad you enjoyed the trip to my home island, please come back soon (hopefully when the pandemic is over) so you can continue to enjoy the island. I hope that you get to try Chinese food on the island the next time you come because the two cultures fuse very nicely when it comes to food.
