This song is really emotional to me honestly. It’s basically Bardock fighting against the inevitability of not only his own death, but the death of his entire race, but he nonetheless resolves to fight. It’s not like the rest of DBZ where the good guys always win. He was going to die and he knew it. Still went down like a frickin champ

According to the scouter, Bardock hit the level of 220k during his desperate assault, while Frieza in his first form was still at 530k…,,

the most 80s sounding dragon ball track ever made. hell yes.

Just hearing Bardock’s power level get higher and higher makes me emotional. I was rooting for him so hard

I love the attention to detail here. The image getting fuzzier and fuzzier, signaling the scouter is getting more damaged as Bardock just plows through soldier after soldier. The final power level read is 530,000, which is Frieza’s power level at the time of Bardock’s showdown with him. The image going out and cutting to black as the signal is lost to represent Bardock’s demise… Very nice work here!

Also crazy that the numbers insinuate that Bardock reached a power level of over 220k. As someone else stated, in that moment he was far above any of Freeza’s henchmen

The transition to the static black and white was really nice and sad at the same time for multiple reasons. One is that Bardock's efforts were in vein as he couldn't save his planet and his people (including his wife), being the only one brave to face a strong dictator and just being forgotten as Goku never even knew Bardock or his actions. In fact nobody knew, the rest of the survivors besides Vegeta thought it was just a meteor and not knowing a brave warrior was trying to fight for them. He was too over his head not realizing how dangerous Frieza was till the very end where it cuts off

I’ve seen so many people say that “Bardock in SSJ wouldn’t have beaten first form frieza” but if the song’s lyrics stating Bardock reached 220K as he faced the Supernova, 11M would be great enough to DECIMATE First Form Frieza.

This is criminally slept on. I have never heard Solid State Scouter with english scouter readings. the way the picture gets more pixelated makes it feel like this all happened and no one would believe it did. And the cool scouter sound at the beginning is ABSOLUTELY SICK! The ending also got shivers to go down my spine xD nice job!

I love how this song tells a story in its instrumental. Very unique.
