  • There is something about Jimmy Kimmel that just bothers me. I don't find him very funny. He also seems just as full of himself as he accuses Aaron Rodgers to be.

Community college grad here! I was given a full scholarship to go to a very respected university after. Graduated with a 4.0/magna cum laude. &I can honestly say I learned SO much more in community college.. Thank you for calling out the pretentious fallacy in Kimmel’s argument. Always adore your fair and informative analysis🙏
  • @T-Rob
Jimmy's attack on Aaron's education was low because it wasn't just attacking Aaron, but EVERYONE who has gone to a community college. Kimmel needs new writers.

"I just looked up the Dunning Kruger effect and now I am an expert..."
  • My professor once said “If one is all black or all white, it is much easier to be all wrong.”

Aaron Rodger’s last jab about ASU was because the hamster brained community college thing was very hurtful to him. If you watch Bill Mahar “club random” with Aaron Rodgers, Aaron talks about a teacher he had in school who told him he would never amount to anything. That teacher is still on his mind, so Jimmy Kimmel’s low blow prevented any possibility of an apology.
  • Yea I could see why a lot of people don’t care for Jimmy Kimmel. Says joke, said person responds with a rebuttal. Jim then proceeds to get offended and dish out a low blow like he’s a victim.

What I love is how you're able to put stuff into words that I don't even know I noticed. Once you start talking about it and explaining it, I realize wow, that's exactly what I felt but couldn't pinpoint or vaguely explain. You're awesome, Spidey! Thanks for another great video!

Speaking as a person who has survived abusive relationships with the other person being manipulative an deceptive, your channel is very important. You really help the regular person on the street to learn how to spot important red flags.

So Jimmy Kimmel spent 7 minutes on national TV belittling and threatening Aaron Rogers about something he didn't even say on Pat McAfee's show (which probably gets a fraction of Kimmel's viewership), and Rogers should apologize? When I heard about this dust-up, I watched the segment on McAfee's show. He could have just been implying Kimmel could be worried that people he supports/knows are on it. Or maybe he was intentionally trying to get a rise out of Kimmel and said just enough to stay out of legal touble. Who knows? But he didn't say Kimmels name was on, or might be on, the list. Maybe Kimmel should apologize to Rogers because he didn''t understand the words Rogers said? Or apologize to all the people who went to community college or who didn't graduate with a 4 year degree? I don't really have much of an opinion on Rogers since I don't follow pro football much, but I've always thought Kimmel is an insufferable jack ass. That's probably why I think it's funny that someone got Kimmel's goat about something and made him blow this up way bigger than it ever would have been.
  • @weicco
    I'm really glad I don't watch television.
  • I think Jimmy should have kept in mind the Streisand effect. I for one would never have heard of this if not for his uproar response.
  • @hollybeee
I appreciate your kind way of looking at the world. I don't like "low blows" and making fun of others based on their background or appearance. Thank you for keeping it classy and your example of respecting others, even if you disagree with them. You are awesome!
  • @st8fromtheho0d18
Thanks Spidey!! I appreciate the fact that you told us your moral opinion on that community college statement. I don't openly discuss how/why I didn't finish school. Just because I find a way to educate myself outside of public school or Ivy Leauge school does not make me less intelligent. Books are available in more places than school!!!
  • @MissMy5.0
So Jimmy can poke fun at Aaron but Aaron can't poke at Jimmy? Weird

My resistance to the Double Bind is why my opthalmologist hates me. "Screen 1 or 2? 1 or 2?" "Neither"
  • @Festus3leggedCat
Context IS important. I watched Jimmy Kimmel that night when he addressed the accusation and couldn't believe how much time he spent on the topic. 🤷🤦
  • @AlbinoWhiteGuy
Kimmel did make Aaron look like an idiot for even mentioning the Epstein List, even though he was right. I think Aaron’s clarification is all that’s needed, he doesn’t owe Kimmel an apology. When you basically call someone an idiot don’t expect them to apologize to you for pretty much anything.

Everything you said about the way Jimmy made his denial contradicts what I learned about genuine truthful denials. The way he denies this claim is casebook duplicity in practice.
  • @HotdogJuice
There is also the probability of anonymity. In other words, a person does not have to deny the act but rather deny the discovery of it. Like a suspect saying, "you won't find any fingerprints of mine at the scene of the crime (therefore/ based on that) it wasn't me." They're trying to pre-establish a correlation of truth. Not being on a list doesn't mean he wasn't connected. He wants it to be THEE deciding factor of public opinion.
