The UPS and DOWNS of walking TORQUAY to TEIGNMOUTH on the SW Coast Path National Trail

Published 2024-06-12
We are walking the 630 mile long South West Coast Path National Trail in England. In May 2024 we spent a long weekend in South Devon, with the aim of completing two more stages of this amazing route. In this vlog, we commence our route in Torquay, the birthplace of Agatha Christie, with the potential aim of making it all the way to Teignmouth. We take in Babbacombe and Maidencombe along the way, with challenging ups and downs, especially in the latter stages!

We plan to complete the entire route over coming months between work and everyday life, plus for logistical reasons, we may complete different stages of the route and fill in the gaps as we go along! We’ll share the entire route, interesting points of interest, plus if we feel it appropriate, we’ll also point out recommended accommodations and places to eat!

😆 Those mile indicators! Maybe they use some other system for measuring other than the length of the path! Like direct line as the crow flies or something... wondering if the path meanders so much it makes you physically further away from the destination.

cool bridges at the start (the one over the highway and then the harbor afterwards) you picked a nice spot for a tea break, even the bus ride at the end was interesting, cheers till the next one
