Day Three included two breaks in the normal convention coverage flow: first in the A.M. I moderated a seminar titled "Has Vinyl Playback Technology Gone About As Far As It Can Go?" with participants Mark Dohmann (Dohmann Audio), Craig Milnes (Wilson-Benesch), Leif Johannsen (Ortofon) and J.R. Boisclair (WallyTools/WAM Engineering). All over the past decade have advance the art and science of vinyl playback, so their take on the question was interesting and the full house appreciated the answers. I'm still waiting for the video to be published on the High End site and when it is it will be embedded in an article on the Tracking Angle website.

In the late afternoon I did an hour long "Meet the Expert" session in the Nagra room, this year with big Stenheim speakers. Always fun! But of course that's two hours plus, during which time I was unable to circulate in the convention center.

No matter, there was still plenty to cover as you'll see in the video. After the Nagra engagement I went over to Hi-Fi Deluxe 2024 at the Marriott where I saw some impressive exhibits you'll see in the video. And that was Day 3.

The Ubiqaudio stuff isn't much on the exterior, but the interior is unbelievably clean, well thought out, with a beautiful layout, and some of the best parts available. Beautiful looking stuff, and fully balanced input to output. Mikey, I'm begging you. You need to get a full set of this stuff in house. Do they make their own cable? Nice cream color on the Wilson's. I guess you're never going to review the Kronos huh?
  • I'm not sure i've seen a more beautiful amp than that WE at the begining. My goodness!!

Did you have the remote microphone in a pocket of candy wrappers in the left channel Michael?...

Good fun by the looks. But Damn. Crazy prices!

For me, Ubiq Audio, Boulder 3050 and Moon 888 are the best amplifiers ever made. Everything inside the amplifier is really perfect. That's how it has to be in this price range👍👍👍

Great coverage. Many thanks for sharing. Would be great if you reviewed the Thrax Libra preamp which also uses 300b tube.

They must have been playing CDs in some of those demos as the turntables were spinning but the tone arm wasn’t even on the record- amazing!!🤩
