After 4 play throughs I have just discovered that Malenia is indeed still Blade of Miquella. I know because she has reminded me about 500 times.

Most useful thing I found out was that margits Shackle and mohgs shackle reveal illusory walls at long ranges. So just spamming it as you walk through a cave or catacomb is suuuuper helpful. Also puddles of water lessen fall damage.

People call many of the stone enemies hard when they're using bladed weapons. Most stone enemies are highly resistant to slash/pierce damage, and weak(er) to strike damage, so having a hammer or mace you like can help make many fights much easier!

The dress constantly shoots invisible projectiles to check who to heal. That lead to all the bugs involving it, including it applying status effects from weapon buffs. Works the same way the setting-yourself-on-fire spell checked to damage enemies, but for non-hostiles. The shackles also have weird hitbox interactions that reveal invisible walls and break chariots.

I have spent so much time in this game I am amazed how much stuff they fit into it. By far the most intense and complete game made in the past few years indeed.

Deathbed Dress alerting enemies is probably due to its spell radius for healing allies is coded as a 0 Damage spell with an aoe centered on the player so "Attacking" someone with it will do no damage but they will react as if you did.

Played most of the game with the Wing of Astel. That electricity effect happens in every cave and underground area

The only tips I have is to learn how poise works, it's one of the most important stats in the game, no matter what build you are if you have less than 51 poise you're making the game a lot harder. And use the item crafting. Bombs are super powerful in the first half of the game and item damage negation buffs, when stacked with other buffs, make it so you don't need 60 vigor, 40-42 will do for PvE. For example with 40 vigor and using boiled crab, dragoncrest greatshield talisman and the opaline hardtear in mixed physik makes it so Melania's flower bomb doesn't one shot you and turns her water fowl dance from lethal into annoying.
  • Melina has the death animation because you can summon her in during the Morgott fight and when she dies shes at the base of the erd tree
  • Honestly I can’t tell who I like more between the two commentators for this channel. Both Falcon and Jake are awesome, and I’m never bothered that they interchange. I never watch one of these videos and wish one or the other was doing that and it’s really impressive. Props to you guys
  • here is a little known thing about Melania, She will actively try to evade most types of magics including Night comet which most NPCs won't evade. There is however one type of spell she can't evade and that is spells like gravity well and collapsing stars, The type of spells Radahn uses, Perhaps this is one of the reasons he was able to force her to use her goddess form!
  • I wonder what he kept calling her that they had to dub in "Melina" every time. Maybe that'll be in the next discoveries video haha

The best game that keeps on giving. DLC for this will be insane.

I’m surprised more and more is being discovered in this game, another reason why From Software is one of my favorite game companies, can’t wait to see what more will be found

I've put 400 hours into this game on various characters ..and always finding new little things I missed... It never gets old . I love it
  • The crystal dart golem trick is pretty neat! Little bits of information like this keep me going back to Elden Ring. Still not finished but almost there. Idk man, it's a long game lol.
  • Fun fact in recent days I've found out depending on ur weapon ur holding, visibly in ur hand mind u will actually affect how your character sits at each site of grace. Sound odd ik but I tested it several times katanas and straight swords will affect ur sitting pose.
  • The deathbed dress thing has existed similarly in other DS games. Dmg buffs or some or Defense buffs (lothric banner/Oath of Sunlight DS3) trigger enemies if active while near them
  • another thing about the red wolf. it actually has the same model and id as the wolf of farron in ds3. the wolf was originally a boss in ds3, taking the abyss watchers arena, with the weapon of choice being a curved sword. but that idea was scrapped, and it then became a covanent. so the recolored it, added animations, and some textures. and now we have that cut boss. really cool how miyazaki finishes some cut works
  • The Wing of Astel sound and effect modifications might have something to do with the 20% damage bonus against Gravity enemies, other weapons have this too. Fallenstar Beast Jaw, Meteoric Blade, Alabaster Lord Sword...
