You picked a great bike. Timeless looks. Performance is just as good as any modern 600 if not better, it came out it was jaw dropping. I had an 07RR after my 03 GSXR1000 which was my 1st streetbike but I rode dirtbikes my entire childhood up to a 650. I loved my Honda. If you really wanna do a mod that you'll really feel do a 520 chain sprocket conversion with -1,+2. You'll lose a little top end but the acceleration will feel ballistic. I guarantee you'll love it. Oh and I did 400mile rides in a day no problem with my RR. Ride safe...good luck with your new bike.

Probably my favourite bike of all time; the mid 00s to early 2010 Supersports were so special

I just got a 2021 CBR 600 RR I’m coming off of dirt bikes I thought it was the right first street bike to have. I enjoy doing my home maintenance. It’s easy all the bikes I get. I get the book on it to make sure my maintenance is on spot. If you do that you and your bike will enjoy it. For pennies I’m not going to the track I’m not going 180.

Dude Im 45 now and sold it a long time ago but I bought a black and gray 04 600RR brand new in crate. What a magnificent bike that was. I have a 23 Benelli TNT135 now lol. Take it to the park and gym and stuff like that.
  • it is a must ,smart & mandatory to start learning how to drive & navigate on a much smaller ,light and low cc motorcycle...not because you won"t stall it and know how to go through gears that you'll how to drive a motorcycle...especially braking phases..insertion in heavy traffic...be prepare to hit the ground anyway..it is not IF..it"s when..!!

Ha it was also my first bike in 2004 as a young Marine. The Marine Corps required us to take the MSR course and that was honestly really good. Many years later I now ride a DRZ400SM but I miss the RR.

Once you've been riding for awhile, you'll realise "stats" having zero influence over choosing and riding a bike. An experience rider will leave you behind on a 400cc arond twisties. You did mention, but yes 💯 depends on personal preference and circumstances. All the bikes are as good as each other. Have fun swapping for different brands and types of bikes. Welcome to the 2 wheel fam :) Ps. Don't need to improve bhp, but a steering damper is a must.

2012 CBR 600RR here. I love the CBR600RR, they are the sweet spot of street motorcycles.

I get where you’re coming from. This is really hard advice to give. But for somebody that wants something to hang onto and just run up to the grocery store and back or piddle fart around town I have a Suzuki DRZ 400 SM I love that bike then I moved onto the 600 but if you got money for a 600 I see what you’re saying go for it, they’re cheap and maintain and a hell of a lot of fun

After watching this video i'm getting more and more convinced of getting myself the ducati 1198s as the starter bike. Though being 6"3 and 187 shouldn't be an issue.😂 Cheers from Italy 🤘🤘

My 1st bike was a 06 cbr600rr. Everyone is different and I thought it was a perfect beginner bike 😅
