Have you ever wanted to sample anything on computer? Well this is how i've been doing it using the Focusrite Loopback feature which is on the earlier Clarett and Scarlett Thunderbolt interfaces. Sadly its not on on the USB C versions :(
Another option is to use the program loopback but i've heard mixed reviews! Either Way this lets you record into Push 2 like an MPC and chop things up! Stay til the end and i show a tip on how to use Push 2 like an SP1200!

Yo! There are SOOO many good options for a loopback that is free, just browse through some of the top comments to find Chrome extensions, software, or settings you can apply to your computer to get the same result! Thank you everyone for sharing the knowledge and spreading some power <3 You all rock
  • @rgrgraterol
Alternatively you can just hook up any smartphone via stereo jack to your audio interface and sample from there. No tricky audio routing.
  • @Drrolfski
I'm actually surprised how little is known within the average sampling/ MPC head about the ridiculous capabilities of Ableton with Push 2. It's really the best a hybrid workflow has to offer .
  • @Tuariq1
Love the push 2 videos! Really helps me to get new perspectives on how to use mine 🎉🔥
  • @krazywabbit
You just helped me see the joy in sampling. I sold the MPC Live as it was not clicking. The Push 2 on the other hand. Whoa! I've got work to do in terms of learning the craft but I am excited now! Thank you. (So far Loopback by RA is working, I bought it years ago when I was podcasting)
  • @saltyaces8621
yo, i've been looking at push controllers for a while and this video sold me. the flow looks great and the screens are awesome on this thing. cheers for the upload.
  • @nikokomac24
if you don't have loopback, you can use a sampler chrome extension and record audio from the browser that way.
  • This was the explanation I needed, coming from the MPC 2500. Helpful, thanks!
  • Awesome video🤟🏻 can’t wait to see you rockin the MPC LIVE II🙌🏻
  • @chrisl2206
At times I'm working on music and I'll have a movie or episode of something playing in the background. I'll hear something that resonates with my music and I do this. Really cool way to create new sounds.
  • @summarity
Blackhole is a free alternative to Loopback, it works on macOS 12 and gives you 16 bidirectional 32bit channels of up to 192kHz
  • @MrSnysokk
Another great video as always! A note: Rogue Amoeba Loopback is the Soundflower replacement. Soundflower doesnt work anymore as far as i know. Loopback is even better though. I love it. Use it all the time. Chrome to ableton, ableton to quicktime. Ableton to syphon recorder. My itunes library to ableton. Well worth the price. Its like the digital mixer of the computer. And what happens is that I have stopped downloading files that much. I just sample them. And man that is a huge difference. Its fast and very efficient. That being said I still buy the music on bandcamp and have paid streaming service to support the artists.
  • thank you bro! I have an abandoned push 2 in my little-used closet and this video will bring it to life!! keep on!
  • @user82938
Good looking out. Thanks for the Simpler to Drum Rack workflow tip. Looking forward to the MPC Live II review.
  • I just bought a push 2 and am moving from FL to ableton. This was super helpful dude. Thank you so much!
  • Ricky, great video! I’ve got the Clarett 4Pre Thunderbolt version and it also has Loopback. I agree that Focusrite should consider bringing this feature back in the USB-C Claretts.
  • @in_10z
Great vid. I love my Push2. Just adding to the all the loopback comments: For any of you Arturia Audiofuse interface owners out there, they have a loopback feature that works perfectly. I use it all the time with no issues.
  • @alexanderlane
Really great vid, can't wait to try this out! Thank you for the great walkthrough. subbed!
  • @mlou4902
I’ve been debating on getting a Push 2. I love Ableton and thought that controller would be great for hip hop (especially with Serato Sample). Thanks for sending this bro. 🙏🏾
