Disneys Magic Kingdoms: Goofy Task Bug

Starting during the Halloween event one or two tasks after getting his costume, Goofy has become uncollectable and freezes all other interactions. This persists until I restart the program and happens on both my devices even after reinstalling. I have tried to let him just keep walking around after tapping him for over an hour.
