Thank you SO much for doing this review. I just started getting into pottery this past spring as a way to help with anxiety and PTSD after going through some tough personal stuff. I find it is so grounding and endlessly creative. I learn so much about myself while at the wheel. I have taken two classes, and I am already trying to get a wheel for our garage. Your videos have helped me learn so much. I am recycling clay as I type this. I have mastered (that word is used loosely) the cylinder and mug, and I am hoping to move into BOWLS! Yahoo! That's my next frontier. And maybe a tea pot some day. Thanks so much for making pottery accessible, it has helped me to stay calm through health issues and create beauty instead of anxiety!

FYI: I went to Vevor's site - between this discount, the free shipping, the site discount for registering... this costs just under $100 US. Thought that was worth sharing. Good luck! EDIT: the free shipping in the US brought it to me in two days! 😊

I throw on a Brent at the Art Studio where I'm taking lessons. I wasn't financially able to buy one so I did buy a $160 Amazon wheel. It's like driving a old used car, it has it's quirks and it sometimes does weird things and it can't move too fast but it gets the job done! I think it has actually made me a better potter because I have to learn to compensate and work around the kinks that it throws at me. I've thrown mugs, bowls and vases on that $160 wheel. I'm saving up to upgrade later this year to a Brent but I will always have soft spot for my old clunker.

I have this wheel! I'm just a hobbyist and still learning. I use bed risers to bring the height up. Works perfectly!

Hi all! I messed up and ran out of time to include the wheel giveaway results in yesterday's video, so it will need to wait for the next video. The good news is you have TWO MORE WEEKS to enter the wheel giveaway! I will be announcing the winner on October 18th!!!!

I homeschool my grandchildren, ages 7 and 10. They follow a curriculum and then in addition I teach other fun classes. I wanted to get started in pottery as their art class. The more I expose them to, the easier it will be for them to find their "thing" they love in life. I would love to receive the wheel

This is amazing!! I'm a mental health therapist who's always looking to incorporate art into my sessions and the therapeutic value of throwing clay is phenomenal! I would use this wheel in my sessions with clients! I would be so excited to see what they end up making!!

I love that you made this video. I had questioned if one of these would even be worth considering. Ive always just used ones in class or the studios after classes and i was worried they would move around too much compared to those. So glad you did this comparison in video format!

It's nice to see someone talk about the utility of a more affordable wheel option. I am much better at hand building myself but I am diving back into throwing and finally have the space to set up working at home! Love your video!
  • @EinSaurier
i really love your videos, and it always makes me happy when i see there is a new one out there. also, as a perfectionist in recovery, i think your approach to pottery is so empowering to just have fun with it, and the stuff you make still turns out so beautiful! so i guess i would mostly be practising some self-love with the pottery wheel, but also, i really want to try replicating the salt cellars that you made because they look so cute with the little open smiley faces 😊
  • @avivw
This is amazing! I had no idea there were such affordable and compact wheels available. I'm returning to pottery after a 10-year hiatus and would really enjoy practicing at home, especially on my cylinders and creating a series of dishes. Thank you!

I’d actually been looking at this wheel for months, so I’m happy I came across your review. Thank you for such a comprehensive video. 😊
  • @kristophergalvez
Just discovered your channel, I took my first pottery class this past Saturday and absolutely want to dive in and try create anything! Everything is on the table for me, I'd love to make my own planters, bowls, mugs, and cantaritos. I'm just really happy to see so many resources and channels like yours, online to help guide me through this creative journey!
  • @susanbastian2851
Thanks for donating this wheel to one of us! I appreciate your honesty in reviewing it. Like a few others who have commented, I've been largely hand building so far. My wheel skills are super rusty and it's a bit embarrassing practicing in the studio I belong to. I'd like to master the fundamentals and create the usual fare of bowls and mugs, as well as closed forms.
  • @clayeasy
Nice review! Certainly a perfect, affordable wheel to begin with. The interest for ceramics is raising all the time, so it’s great to see these cheaper alternatives too. Cheers from Finland! Love you channel!❤
  • @rebeccasmith7341
Hi, love your videos and the non filtered, ‘this is really how things work/turn out’ quality. Started pottery this year and would love to make some taller, more challenging pieces 😊 cheers
  • @tswishful
Oh, the cuteness of it sitting by yours😂 I've been eyeing this one; thanks for the thorough review!
  • @user-hx4td1pi4g
So exciting to know that there's an affordable option out there! I'm pretty new to the potter world, so if I had a wheel at home I'd keep experimenting to find my own style and keep making functional pieces that bring a bit of joy to all the mundane parts of life.
  • @brendaross84
I am a novice potter but loving learning the process. Have been looking at the vevor brand . Glad to know you were favourably impressed. Thanks for the review.

Thank you so much for all your online classes - templates and you tube videos. I'm really glad you added reviews to your you tube. There are so many options of things to purchase I love when someone I trust gives a review. I have been looking for a wheel for my home. I am my dads caretaker so it's hard to get to the studio like I uses to. I love all aspects of pottery. Thank you for all you do.
