I still play my PS3 even to this day. The PS3 just has a lot of fun single player games and the games themselves still focused on gameplay first, graphics second. My problem with modern games is that too many of them feel ike interactive movies, rather then games. With the PS3, even with the PS2 I can easily go back and replay my favourite games, since their gameplay is so much fun and didn't feel like it wastes your time with too many cutscenes and slow walking segments. PS3 games I still find joy playing are: InFamous series, Ratchet & Clank A Crack in Time, Uncharted 1 & 2, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, God of War Trilogy, and many others.

I have 2 fat ps3 and I just bought not to long ago a ps3 loving every moment of it and here in the US the popular ps3 are still expensive almost the price of a new ps5 game

The PS3 is worth getting even today since many if the games on there were never ported to modern consoles/PC.

Nice video. I am glad I kept my PlayStation 3 slim bought it from Best buy in 2009. Added a 500 gb hard drive. Should've bought a 1 tb hard drive. I still use my PS3 to play DVDs and blu ray DVDs.

I liked your video but I'm against titles being released again for every generation of console unless it's a total remake like resident evil 4. They need to concentrate on new titles. As you say the games still look great so no need to. A PS3 can also be bought really cheap and be jailbroken by anyone with a slight bit of technical knowledge and games easily downloaded.

I still fire up my ps2 to play Gran Turismo 4.

can someone give an estimate or realisitic time frame when sony would probably shut the ps store on ps3?

I still use mine and usually don't buy games from the PS store, just the DLC or so. I just like still finding a game on Blu-ray for it in a store for it, that's just a few Euro

I just bought one. Took an absolute gamble in CEX on a super slim. Wanted a fat so I could play PS2 but that was still mega expensive and even more unreliable So far everything works great. Online download speeds are painful for really tiny games, and I’ve only had a single game I bought on disk not work for me. But I paid £3.50 for it so it’s not really a hardship. What worries me is how fast they’ll remove PS Store. No date on it and there’s a lot I want to collect digitally, but I can’t just dump tons of money on the store right now. So as long as there’s a year or so left I should be fine Was worried about overheating as my cousins PS3 slim sounded insane even back in 2013, but pleased to say the console gets very hot but doesn’t seem to have any major fan issues. And the games… I’m so glad I did it just to play some of my old favourites. It’s a crime that with PS4 they removed the ability to play anything backwards compatible. It’s so weird going back to a console which, yes removed PS2 back compat, but was from a time when the content of games still felt more important than fancy graphics or online gamepass features. If anyone is thinking about it, I couldn’t stop thinking about it for a week and finally dove in. Haven’t regretted it yet Total UK cost for anyone interested PS3 Slim Unboxed (didn’t want discounted) £80 A few games (all around £1 mark to £5 max) - £10 I did spend £30 on the PS Store too. So all in all £130 to have more fun with a console than I have on my PS5 in ages

Ebay = ps3's cleaned, thermal paste changed and jailbroken... albeit at the cost of what the PS3 slim originally cost

I prefer the feel of dualshock 3 over dualshock 4 personally. The small size allowed me to NOT hold it in its curves and have a thumb position above the thumb stick, giving more accurate movements... but there's no way every hand could have the same experience I did.. i think i just got lucky haha Dualsense is great aside from adaptive triggers pushing the controller out of your hand (technically). You have to squeeze to counter the trigger forces.. though I love it hehe I just bought a ps3 superslim after giving up waiting on sony to give a good answer to backwards compatibility 😅 Graphics definitely hold up to todays standards tbh (usually) Framerates... not so much

PS3 slim 2501 and 2501B are the best slims. Mid 2010 And up to January 2011. Those are the only ones to go for. They have great build quality, do CFW and are reliable.

hi guys i mainly have 2 questions 1. when Sony decides to cut online support for ps3 will it affect me if i want to collect games for ps3? and 2. are ps3 game disks as reliable as ps4 blue ray discs?
