  • Wants it delivered in the garage. Leaves truck and scaffolding blocking garage. 💁‍♀️

I like how people are expecting deliveries and want you to put it in all these tight spaces but they don't even have the common sense or decency to move their damn vehicle out of the way.

A big part of the problem is the misinformation the sales staff give to make the sale.

Same shit in LTL. A liquor stors owner buys a big ass refrigerator online and chooses the cheap curbside delivery option thinking he can talk me into tearing the packaging open and dragging it into his store before he signs the receipt. Nope, not happening.

I worked for Home Depot for 10 years ( felt like a ten year, hard labor, prison sentence). I’m glad you made this channel, so people can see how difficult your job is, and how unreasonable (often times) the customer is. Almost every day we had problems with deliveries at Home Depot. It is a very draining and thankless job.
  • If you want your drywall dropped inside, buy it from an actual drywall company and have them stock it wherever you need it. If you’re paying home depot prices, you get Home Depot product and Home Depot delivery. And they don’t do stuff like that. Instead of bitching about it, be mad at yourself for not getting your materials from a place that puts stuff inside like you want it.

I don't know how you do it but I now understand why my drivers thank me. I research, I know my load and where and when it's arriving all they always can pull right up, drop the load (I even call ahead as arrange the load be flat stacked with garbage wood if needed). So when they pull up and see an old lady with gray hair that knows what's up and I hand them a cool Gatorade as they drive away I always get the thumbs up 🤣
  • I love telling Yahoo's no. Watching them squirm is hilarious. When something doesn't work the way people want they get so offended. The power to walk away from them is so wonderful.
  • Very polite and professional of you to ask the client if you can record their delivery. With a Thank You. Hat’s off to you Sir. ✔️💯👌🏽✌🏽😎💖
  • I’ve driven trucks and I’ve been a contractor both for the biggest part of my life. Truck driver when I was younger and contractor from middle age to retirement. Ordering Sheetrock from a lumber yard your in your own for placement 99% of the time however if you order it from a drywall company they will put it anywhere you want it.. there is usually a small delivery charge but it’s so worth it especially if your working on a time schedule. So bad luck for this guy for not asking up front about delivery specificities
  • @bikerkat01
I wonder if the contractor does extra stuff for his clients like he expects from this driver. I doubt it.

No idea how I stumbled across this channel, but I'm enjoying the vids. Anyone else every tell you that you sound a little like John C. Reilly?
  • @edwindunbar9359
If he stated he wanted it inside when he ordered it and it will be on the BOL it needs to be put inside. If it's not on the BOL when ordered it's on the customer to put it inside.

I'm really liking your videos. It shows what drivers have to go through. Lots of people want stuff they are not entitled to. And if you say no they get so mad. I have had deliveries refused because they didn't get what they wanted. Freight is cub side delivery.

Lady I used to work with wanted to finish her basement, so ordered drywall from Depot. She was SHOCKED that delivery didn't mean into the basement. The driver was a nice guy and put the sheets into the garage for her, but he advised her that per the delivery sheet, curbside was as far as he was required to go with them. She then decided to move the sheets in herself by scoring them at the halfway mark in both directions, and then folding the sheet into 4. Myself and another guy from work stopped her there, and went over and hand bombed the 12 foot sheets into the basement for her.
  • @kenbrown2808
so, basically, the customer bought for warehouse prices and expected full service delivery.

Had this bullshit happen to me when I drove for McCoys. Customer stated he was told I'd put his drywall in the garage and I told him that's not what we do. 1 argument with my boss later and I was humping drywall into the garage. Found a new job shortly thereafter. P.S. if you've got a Class A, avoid McCoys. They think professional drivers are labor hands.
  • Yep, after 30 years of having to deal w/customers who were rude, insulting, & disagreeable, I retired. It made me HATE people. I ALWAYS tried to help meet their DEMANDS but sometimes what they wanted & what I could do was beyond my pay grade. Bless your heart sweetie. You'r a good man. Hats off to you.
  • Had he'd moved his, truck scaffolding and buddy out the way, bet that 12' sheetrock would have fit thru that 16' garage door.
  • Lol, as a contractor we always have men on site to load up the drywall into logical locations. It’s never the delivery company.
