Man this really makes me question why they didn't bother a little bit more with the textures on this track (and Shroom Ridge) It would have taken relatively little time to make it look much much better

Even though it was such a basic stage, I was really happy but upset at the same time Nintendo HAD to do this to the textures of the stage. Godly Nintendo.

I honestly prefer this to ZPL's version, as I think he plastered way WAY too many shrubs in the background. That, and some of the textures he chose are way too obvious and gritty, as if to say "LOOK HI-RES GRASS!"
