I know Sam personally. He worked at my sober living and ended up being my co worker soon after. He’s an awesome guy who is still in recovery and enjoys helping others 😊

Clean 5yrs now from heroin. Best thing I heard in one of the 6 rehabs I was in....”would you rather keep doing the one thing you’re doing, and lose everything? Or would you rather keep everything and lose the one thing you’re doing?” I had lost my job. My home. All materials possessions. My looks. My family. My self respect & dignity. My MORALS. Now today I got all those things back and am the girl I always knew I was inside. The one my parents raised me to be. I started to accept the fact that I was just going to be a hopeless junkie. But I decided to try one more time. I promise it’s possible. Life is beautiful and I pray for everyone still living that life. I wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy.

"Hope is a poor man's bread" the best advice i got while in rehab. Hope is nothing, you have to do it yourself.
  • Once you know that you've had enough, it's a great feeling... I'm 3 months sober and not craving it at all. Can't wait for it to be 3 year's.. I am never going back to drink and drugs for the rest of my life...Amen

I was addicted to the hokey pokey but then i turned myself around.
  • I've never done heroin. But I struggled with meth for a long time , started dabbling with cocaine and alcohol at 13 years old . I'm glad I am sober from everything since April 3rd,2021. I'm 32 years old now.

Here's how you tell if your drug use is being done responsibly. Ask yourself this question: am I using this drug to enhance my life (that I'm already content with), or am I using this drug to replace my life

You can tell he is a really good guy. I’m glad he is doing better and was able to turn it around.
  • I’m 50, and just wanted to reach through this screen to hug this kid, tell him he’s got balls by doing the right thing! Wishing him the best still! 4 years of Just for TODAY 😊👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽 You’re awesome♥️

Guy's a lot like me, stole alcohol at 14, got caught and ran, tried every drug out there, got hooked on shooting prescription opiates and switched to slamming heroin at like 17, went to rehab, etc. Heroin is so good you'll ruin your life and your body for that high...

Such a kind soul 😩 feel so bad for people that get addicted to drugs ugh it’s so sad 😭
  • Sam's story is very touching, from the pain and shock of parental divorce to the loneliness of teenage life. Drug usage and reliance might be fun at the initial moments but it's always a hole too deep you cannot get out without help. I am happy that he's eventually found the needed help. Thanks Detox to Rehab

Sam my friend... Being sober can be fun :D I am so happy for ya mate. And the fact that you have a family that supports you will help a lot. You are a kind of person that everyone should be proud of not just your parents and sisters. Because what you did took guts! Good luck in everything you do in your life Sam!
  • Im oddly similiar to this guy parents divorced, 5 sisters. Only thing is im sober/clean and have no friends lol
  • Sam is living proof that recovery is always possible even with the most deadly vices. I really admire his courage in sharing his story and the fact that he picked up all the broken pieces after such devastating trauma.
  • It is so inspiring to know that you were able to overcome the addiction at last. There is still hope for anyone still trapped in the same net of addiction as you were.
  • I like that he is now involved in helping others suffering addiction. That is very wholesome indeed.
