Egeria and Focalors were the two Hydro Archons who ruled over the nation of Fontaine. Both of them worked hard to protect the people of Fontaine, even sacrificing their own lives. In this video, I talk about their history and how it shaped Fontaine into what it is today.

  • Egeria really intrigues me I really hope we see her full actual design someday. I kinda picture her as like a mix between venti and focalors since shes related to both lol

I can't believe Sumeru was also involved in Fontaine's backstory.

I wonder what the "rogue" Oceanids feel now that Focalor's/Furina's plans and lies have been revealed and come to fruition. I'm gonna have to check if Rhodea still says "AN ASSASSIN FROM MY HOMELAND?" and I hope we get to see Idiya have a mutually awkward tea party with Furina and Neuvillete.

i don’t know why there was no mention of egeria's Consciousness in the archon quest because it would’ve been nice if we go in the water beneath the tree and communicate with egeria just like how we did it in the fountain of lucine.

What bothers me is not knowing what exactly Makoto and Ei are Are they simply thunderbolts? and that's it? without any elaboration? I know Venti is mysterious and a wind spirit but he at least has more lore than both of them combined

Oh speaking of Hydro Archon stuff.. the words on the Varunada Lazurite Gemstone havent been spoken yet, right? Based on the lines "I must correct you. People here bear no sins in the eyes of the gods." it makes sense for it to come after the main story. Probably not a flashback since neither Furina or Focalors couldve known 100% that the plan would work. Ive been lazy so i actually still havent played Furinas 1st SQ, but i assume the lines werent said there based on what ive heard about the quest. All logic points to Furinas 2nd SQ in the future, but unless they introduce someone new and important to challenge Furina i cant see her correcting anyone tied to the Archon Quests about their views on Fontainians. Ive been thinking about this for a while but Dainsleif perhaps? Were definitely getting an interesting Dain quest considering where we left off last time, but for the first time we have a situation where Dain could maybe be willing to interact with an "Archon". I imagine Fontaines events would be quite intriguing maybe even shocking to him with both nations having been branded as sinners and doomed to destruction yet Fontaine managed to undo all of that and fool fate itself. Furina and Dain could totally chat about lore stuff with us.. right? Neuvillette can join the tea party too i have some questions for him... Well Furinas 2nd SQ is more likely but this would be cool too.

Considering we know very little about Egeria, Hoyo hiring a VA for her, and also the whole bunch of world quests regarding and relating to her, I do wonder if we are going to see her one day in one way or the other. My current theory is that The Knave is Egeria's "reincarnation", same way as Cater is Carter's reincarnation, where someone, possibly Rhodeia but this is a whole another topic, took a part of Egeria's consciousness from Harvisptokhm and planted it onto a hilichurl as a means to revive her. This would explain as to why The Knave feels so passionate about protecting Fontaine as well as her origin and source of power, and would fit thematically, considering that, in both Inazuma and Sumeru, we had a major world quests that would eventually heavily relate to Archon's second story quests (talking about The Aranara's questline and Sakura Cleansing Ritual). This time it would connect to Unfinished comedy and by extention, the whole Narzissenkreuz questline

So Fontainains are actually Oceanins That were transformed into humans, which is why people are reverting back to their original state. But I have a speculation that parts a bit of an exaggeration, my theory is that Seeles and Oceanins Were used to create humanity. The creator of the world, used Seeles, artificial bodies to create humans because I know humans,Archons, and Seele are not native to the planet Teyvat. And created artificially through cloning, Seeles most of them disappeared. My theory is they turned into humans as a part of the cloning process. Because I know the myths of Archons and Seeles it’s not exactly accurate because humans exaggerate stuff and forget key details because they completely forgot they’re from another world.

Just had a thought; So we know/can speculate what happened to the Sovereign Dragon software the so far released nations: Dvalin, Azdaha, Apple, and Neuvillette, all except for Inazuma/Electro... And we just learned from Skirk that the Gnoses are made from the remains of the Third Decender. We have yet to learn the identites of the Pyro and Cryo for certain. Onto my speculation... What if the Gnoses are the Electro Soverign? From what I know, there is very little lore on them, and Ei did say that Eternity is the closest to the Heavenly Principles... and what if it was both literal and metaphorical, and maybe it had ties to the Loom of Fate, 'cuz, t'know /eternity/? I think it's as likely as any other knowing Genshin!
  • Where did you get that information about Focalors hiding inside the Oratrice? Focalor didn’t said she was inside the Oratrice though
  • I feel bad for focalors, she basically had save her people by executing herself because of egeria’s actions.
