the best thing about Studio Ghibli/Miyazaki films is that the character of emotions on everyone is so visceral-he draws emotions the way that the feel when you experience them: tears are huge and cover the eyes, smiles are face splitting, when you're freaked out you feel hair "stand on end" and his characters' hair really does stand up straight like it feels like yours do, when you take a tumble it feels very obvious and huge and he draws tripping/stumbling the same way. It looks the way it feels in reality and that's why you connect so deeply with his characters

Attack on Titan Levi vs Kenny scene. So much incredible detail and direction was put into making this scene from 3d backgrounds, 2d props and 2d animation at such a fast pace and its so incredibly fluid.

"Voice actors" react would be really interesting.
-
The fact that he just casually mentioned 2 of my favorite movies Prince of Egypt and Road to El Dorado. Can we get an episode with those movies in it???? 👀👀👀👀👀👀

I have a professor who worked at Disney as an effects animator, and he said the most annoying effects ever were oddly enough the chains from hunchback and flags from Mulan 😂 I’d love to see a deep dive on that 😍 People always look to explosions and water and fire, but it’s the more simple things that are the hardest because if even one small piece is messed up everything else is garbage even if it was done perfect

I'd love to see analysis of a scene from Avatar the Last Airbender. Maybe the final agni kai between Zuko and Azula or the scene where the Blue Spirit breaks Ang out of the fire nation fortress in Book One. Great animation everywhere in that show!

1. Castle In The Sky: Robot Soldier Ressurection 2. A Silent Voice (Any Scene) 3. Avatar the Last Airbender: The Final Agni Kai
-
Avatar: The Last Airbender. The action sequence when the Gaang invades the Earth King's Palace. There's so much movement going on all at once, & it's so creative & crisp. Fantastic work.

I have always have been amazed by animators but this has gotten it to a new level. I’m so grateful humans have gotten to this point

Top 3 Animated Things I'd love to see a reaction to: 3) Howl's Moving Castle: The castle design is iconic and the varying animation on the main character throughout the film is great visual storytelling! 2) RWBY: I love this show and the reason it gained a lot of popularity is with its fight choreography which would be interesting to analyze (both the current fight choreography and the early fight choreography) 1) Coraline: Stop motion is a beautiful art form and this film showcases that for me. The subtle changes in expression, the way the world feels both cartoony and real based on the world of the main character. Also the transformation of the Other Mother...is amazing!

There‘s an animated short called „The old man and the sea“ where every frame is basically an oil painting ( i think they paint with wet paints on glass?), most recently, „Mob Psycho 100“ uses some of that animation style for their fx animation and their Ending sequence for episodes!

A good animated movie to analyse is “Redline” the hand drawn project that took 7 years and practically bankrupted Its production company. It is pure popcorn and spectacle.
-
Redline anime movie. Literally anything from it. The entire movies is eye candy and was hand drawn frame by frame for 7 years.

I wish I could see Spider-Verse in theaters for the first time again. That masterpiece had me locked in. The leap of faith sent chills down my body, especially with the What's Up Danger track playing.
-
The Prince of Egypt, Your Name, Cowboy Bebop: Knocking on Heaven's Door, Ghost in the Shell, IGPX, One Punch Man
-
One Punch Man : Season 1 Episode 5 (2nd half of the episode) - The 'Spar/Training' session between Saitama and Genos :D
-
Castlevania. An absolute masterpiece, incredibly dark, but we literally spent so much time admiring the details, I've watched the series so many times.
-
I’m so happy that they talked about Spider-Verse. It’s one of my favorite movies of all time and I literally watch it every time I see it on!
