Symere Bysil Woods (/saɪˈmɪər/ sy-MEER; born July 31, 1995), known professionally as Lil Uzi Vert, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Lil Uzi Vert gained initial recognition following the release of the commercial mixtape Luv Is Rage (2015), which led to a recording contract with Atlantic Records, to whom they signed under DJ Drama's Generation Now imprint.

Lil Uzi Vert attracted mainstream attention following the release of their debut single "Money Longer" in 2016. The song would act as the lead single for the subsequent mixtape Lil Uzi Vert vs. the World (2016), which also contained the song "You Was Right". After releasing two additional mixtapes in 2016 and 2017, including one in collaboration with Gucci Mane, Lil Uzi Vert was featured on the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping Migos' single "Bad and Boujee". They later secured their first top ten single with "XO Tour Llif3", which won the MTV Video Music Award for Song of Summer.

"XO Tour Llif3" acted as the lead single to Lil Uzi Vert's debut studio album Luv Is Rage 2 (2017), which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, and was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). At the 2018 Grammy Awards, they were nominated for Best New Artist. Their second studio album, Eternal Atake (2020), was among the most anticipated albums in contemporary trap and rap when it was finally released following years' worth of delays. Eternal Atake, like Luv Is Rage 2, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. Since 2020, Lil Uzi Vert has teased the release of their third studio album, Pink Tape, which is scheduled for release on June 30, 2023.

I feel like you can't make an uzi video without the era of leakers that completely ruined EA

Uzi is super talented, vulnerable, down to earth, unique, and controversial. That’s why he has so many cult fans and him being controversial gets him more and more fans throughout the years. As someone who graduated HS in 2016. It’s like I grew up with uzi. He holds a special place in my life switching from HS to college.

Uzi has definitely solidified himself as one of the best artists of our generation

Just been an uzi fan since 2016. He genuinely has one of the most unique discographies and always sounds fresh.

Uzi makes FEEL GOOD music. It puts you in a good mood even the more "emo" songs off of LUV IS RAGE series still have amazing beats and catchy hooks and vocals. Uzi's 2016 mixtapes literally feel like a tropical summer day. LIR2 hits so hard at night. LIR OG more regular trap sound with melodic elements in between. EA has the space and choir beats that make you feel like you're ascending and just having a good time. The grails on the deluxe arguably even better with Myron Bean Yessirski + more. To top it all off Uzi has a great personality on camera and kindly greats fans of all ages or interviewers.

NGL I’m a huge Uzi glazer. Their music is just so much fun. I’ve been counting down the minutes until Pink Tape drops. I’m also a huge Carti fan. Also I wanna say I have great memories of EA and it’s deluxe LUV2 because they dropped right as I went into quarantine and it was like the only new music I had. My friends and I still remember when EA dropped in the middle of class for us and we all left to skip the rest of school to go listen to it together. It isn’t on the level of LIR2, but I still go back to EA and have a ton of fond memories. On Red and White I’ve gotten significant replay value out of Final Fantasy and Cigarette. My friends and I all know Cigarette word for word. For reference, I just graduated high school. I feel like most people my age LOVE Uzi. Basically my whole grade loves Uzi at the schools I was at. I was at a public school where Eve try one loved Uzi and I moved private where he was even more popular.

We love Uzi for ever Lil Uzi Vert is going to be one of those artists you gonna tell your kids about
  • @ix.oversoul
last word: You cant say he "did the same thing" with pink tape. Talk about switching things up and pushing boundaries. Further cementing himself as one of the best to ever do it.
  • @prodDR3o
We will love and forgive uzi when he drops 16*29 with carti😁🔥
  • @ThatBoyJesse
As a die hard uzi fan you are so correct and everything but lotus goes so hard 😭
  • @CrystlClr404
Uzi really is a once in a lifetime artist, no-one sound's like them and i hope no-one will sound like them.
  • @REXae86
Uzi was definitely a unique case. like he was one of , if not the first artist around 2015-17 that changed what it means to be a Hip-Hop artist. kinda like Young Thug, how he change a generation.
  • @natetaylorr1012
quote me on this, “the pink tape is going to cement lil Uzi once it drops ”
  • @magicmeatball11
I think Uzi feels almost scared by their fans/stardom they’ve said for years they’ve wanted to go into metal/almost rock but just hasn’t i hope that pink tape allows them to go into that type of sound and cement themselves
  • @elizahhoward6810
