To this day, still cannot find an anime to match my satisfaction with Samurai Champloo. Idk maybe I'm just old and shit.

RIP Nujabes. His work on samurai champloo's soundtrack would inspire musicians for years. The godfather of Lofi. Although the genre was created before him, Nujabes contributions helped drive its growth.

When you reallize that mugen and zorro had the same voice actor^^ perfect match tho.

I just realized that was his secondary blade he used to stick into Kariya, a Mugen Special, so he used a move that his favorite rival would use. I love this series!

Samurai Champloo and cowboy bepop were my favorite animes to watch even now both are still on my top 10 😮and surprisingly both kinda have the same vibe

I love Mugen But for me the, the Last fight is the Best. The music, the ambiance, the animation, the stake. Jin the master.
  • How the hell are these fights so much better than most anime fights we see today, holy shit.....

Something amazing to point out. By the end of the series, Mugen and Jin kinda combine each others philosphies in fighting for these last fights. Jin, the calculated warrior who uses the basics, direct and calculated attacks, vs Mugen who uses erratic and wild movements to throw off his opponent, opting instead of using his head, he uses his reflexes and outwits his opponents through sheer confusion, he leaves himself wide open intentionally to encourage openings from his opponents that he takes advantage of with his erratic fighting style. At the end here, Mugen defeats the assassins sent after him, by using his head for once, tricking the guy into lobbing off his own head in their fight with his chain blade by actually enacting a plan instead of just hoping his Ryukyu style would bring him through. And here, we see Jin relys on Mugen's ideology in this or combines it with his own, he leaves himself wide open, and relies on a strange technique that is super risky for him but also Kamiya, killing his opponent. Really great stuff!
  • It’s been years since I first saw this, and it still sticks out in my memory. I think this might be the best fight I’ve seen in a series.

When I first saw this, I was hoping Mugen would go 1v1 because I was biased and he's my favorite. Now that I watch this years later, Jin was definitely a better matchup for Kariya.

Can we take a minute to appreciate the sick soundtracks that accommodates every fight scene ❤❤

Best 👏 show 👏 ever 👏 Also one where the dub is legendary.
  • @phuckerpower
Jin was the real MVP in this fight, but Kariya was really bad ass and had a cool backstory involving Jin.
  • i'm just impressed at how low quality it is despite the show coming out way past the days of 480p

The scene capture so many facets of the historic samurai life and it's slow end. Two warriors who hold on to their own unique principles to the sword despite the political manipulations. Despite it all, they fought on their own terms without pause or regrets.

Jin won not because of his strength but because ha became more unpredictable.
