He could've entered the portal gracefully, but he chose to take shots on the way out, and it backfired.

That kid was a special case in high school......when Travis Hunter couldn't work with him, you knew it was bad.

This is on top of missing practices, missing meetings, not watching film, hiding in the bathroom during practice, smoking weed.., all of this when allegedly receiving 20k a month ! A total waste of talent !

First of all let me say I’m born and raised in Dallas,Tx. I’m 44 so I was a teenager when the Prime time era was in full effect in our Super Bowl years here in Dallas. So I support everything Deion does. My son is at University of Texas at the moment so my take on Colorado isn’t biased. I’m a fan of Colorado bc I’m a Deion fan first. I remember when Prime started coaching high school. He did so much grass root work to make sure kids got to practice and learned the game even coming out of his own pocket for alotta expenditures. With all that said if coach prime got love for you and believes in you he’s gonna help you in every way he can. If you go watch the first well off media video where Cornani was at practice for the first time. Prime was correcting him on his technique and Cornani got in his feelings and prime asked “wait a minute, you’re not getting in your feelings are you?” And then he didn’t get his high school number #7 that got him in his feelings. And if everyone remembers coach prime never threw him under the bus the entire time the media was asking him”why isn’t Cormani starting..what’s up with Cornani” it wasn’t til like the 5-6 game til prime got tired of the questions about Cormani til he finally said “look he’s missing meetings, late to meetings, not watching film so he’s not prepared “ he challenged him publicly and when he shut down Brendan Rice after the USC game coach prime praised him publicly. Flat out he just didn’t wanna listen to prime. Travis , Shedeur, Shiloh and Cam-Silmon Craig listened and that worked out for them. Cormani is over mothered and under fathered and it shows bc he can’t take hard coaching/direction from a male figure..Talent can get you in the room but character will keep you in it.

He had every opportunity to play when Travis was hurt. Dude was hiding in the bathroom.

Not only was his commentary immature and disrespectful, the elementary school work out at the end didn’t help either 😭😭😭

Lets be clear!! FILM IS YOUR RÉSUMÉ Your BIGGEST Advocate is film and your Head Coach. He burnt the bridge with a well respected HC. And the film...? Prime tried to protect Cormani's résumé (FILM). But overzealous CU FANS and MEDIA pressured Prime, week after week, to play Cormani when he clearly was not ready. Under the pressure, Prime played him and it was not good AT ALL. Now Cormani has this bad résumé (FILM), compounded with work ethic, and character issues. No one wants to take a risk on a headache, when you can select & develop your own headache out of High School. Best of Luck to Cormani. He'll still have a shot, it just will NEVER be the same opportunity presented to him by CU. P.S: Being the #1 CB recruit comes with HIGH EXPECTATIONS. As soon as you step on a college field all that #1 recruit talk disappears. High School is now irrelevant and 2 year old HS film isn't going to work, now. This is a "What have you done lately" association. Unfortunately, players enter the portal seeking something easier. However, the EXPECTATION never changes! The grass is RARELY greener on the other sides switching programs with little to bad film. I say this b/c coaches are willing to look pass the character issues, as majority of coaches think they have the magic formula to change a players attitude and focus. Prime could've saved this kid by NOT putting him on the field and allowing him get exposed, just to shut the media/fans up. Had that not happen, those 20 something D-1 schools would've thought Cormani is just developing considering they have a Top10 draft pick at CB already. But under the pressure, Prime played him. Which led to Cormani defending his play with excuses and ultimately throwing Prime under the bus. In return, Prime exposed all his habits. Now we know Cormani's work ethics, and we have the résumé (FILM) to confirm it. That's why he's at home.

His teammates said he was hiding in the bathroom to get out of workouts.
  • @DexVLive
He fell for the Danny Lanning trap
  • @tompain6498
Did he not think the coaches would call Prime and ask him about his character?
  • @klassyred8069
Matt Neely said that they would tell him he'll play, just come to practice on time, look at film, show up to meetings and no weed. He failed it all look for the video you'll see it.
  • @spadesx_
at first, i assumed Coach Prime was just pushing his style of coaching too hard on a introverted, homesick kid. but then all the late to meetings, skipping film study, hiding in the bathroom to avoid practice, etc. come out. as well as the audacity to make that yt video after he leaves Colorado. Matt said it best, Coach Prime could've aired out everything to try to protect his image and integrity. but instead of being petty, Coach Prime continued speaking on his game, not his character. as it's said, the truth will eventually come out.

Cormani arrived at Colorado very green. He definitely needed to grow. I was hoping that he would have stayed and matured at Colorado.

You don’t bad talk an all-time great or your teammates whether if you feel he’s a good or bad coach you just don’t do that.
