Ranking Every FF8 Guardian Force

Diablos is goated. Does so much damage to bosses and enemies throughout the game. Gives insanely good abilities to your characters too.

I love their lists. Just getting to see other people's opinions and thoughts. Specially since ff8 is my favorite one behind tactics. This list is wildly different from mine.

Now I wanna see a FFX Aeons tier list! It was so cool being able to summon and actually control them like a SMT demon, and also it has one o Shiva's best design of all FFs! The girl slays! 🧊💋

... I agree! I remember back in 1999 turning in bahamut card for 100 megaelixir, just that alone makes that GF op as beep!

In my opinion i think doomtrain is the most useful gf in the game as it casts large amounts of status ailments on enemies and bosses and gives st defence x 4 which is pretty much the only way to fight malboros without having to run away Quetzo is best gf is great as well with the card mod ability being is the best ability in the game since it basically breaks the game with how many amazing magic you can get from cards but i suppose that depends of if you do lots of triple triad which is a lot of fun

For actually Summoning on Early on Shiva/Quetzatcoal are worth summoning later the only GF worth Summoning is Doomtrain and that's it I owned the 6 Malboro Tentacles and 6 Steal Pipes for Doomtrain on disc 2 BUT Remedy Pluses require to draw Alexander off of Edea end of disc 3 in order to be able to summon it ASAP on disc 3. for NONE Summonable GF's only Odin is useful Gilgamesh not so much.

As far as FF8 GFs go… I’d have to go with Quistis she’d be my top girlfriend. Oh you mean guardian force 😂

I use Card Mod as soo as the game starts. Sometimes even befor ifrit. That way I can get Tornado and Quake (which are awesome spells for HP and STR) and Squalls second best Weapon. Which in all honesty I dont even use since I kill Squall, Xell and Rinoa as soon as I get them and let them stay dead until I have bahamut so I can use the for Bonus Abilities for every one of the to level 100. I basically get that weapon just for the looks since i like to run through the seed mission in dollet with it, looking like a overpowered badass :D Even though I just do the whole dollet mission with just Seifer. But since he will have over 100 Str because of tornado, he will almost hit 9999 damage with limit and crit.

Amnesia greens. Wonderful item for GFs. But in all seriousness yeah this list makes sense. With all the summons they offer a lot but casually some arent as useful. Malboro... that disgusting laughing nightmare

Amazing how early, mid and late game GFs are all rather balanced so, you have solid options no matter what. Still, that won't stop most from just GF summon spamming all game, only to get taught a valuable lesson by a certain someone so much later in the game hehe

Loved GFs when I was a kid, but after a while the animations just take too damn long for a mere 9999 damage.

The memories of using kamikaze to kill tonberries, forgetting how many I'm at and having to fight the king with 2 characters.
