So it's been a while since I've made a YT video. Thought I'd take the chance to update y'all on how 2020 has been going for me and where I'm at now. It's been 15 years since I last experienced art block. Let's chat about what lead to it and how I'm dealing with it.

I came across your channel a few minutes ago with your review for Artist's Loft gift set. (I've debating on purchasing it). But I just wanted to thank you for this video. I've suffer with depression and this year began horribly with the death of my Mom. Then COVID hit (and don't get me started on the political situation here in the US). Anyway I decided maybe art therapy would help. It did! I'm not 100% better, but it's the perfect way for me to heal. It's great to hear from a young person like yourself sharing your journey that can help others going through it at the moment. I wish I had YouTube 30 years ago. Thank you so much! You've made me a subscriber!

The watercolor landscape turned out beautiful. Love that soft look. For me art block wasn't a real thing before mainly because I'm a very, very bad procrastinator. But a few years back I experienced writers block for an entire week. I wanted to write and I tried many times in that week but nothing. So yeah I'm sure art block is real and I've experienced it many times but since I'm a procrastinator I probably can't tell which times are art block and which ones are just me struggling with procrastination. :) Hope you over come yours soon. P.s. I loved those two pieces you showed. I love drawing art that's dark or surreal and one can relate or interpret it in my ways.

I do hope you feel better soon, Sam. Like you said, it's okay to not feel ok and it takes time. Your art and presence is wonderful, especially on your Twitch streams.

This painting turned out super lovely! I really like the colours :D Iā€™ve actually managed to just recently pull myself out of a creative block, I couldnā€™t come up with any ideas. I wanted to draw but I would get a circle down and then that was it. Honestly something that really helped me break through it was finally listening to a concept album I had put on the back burner for a while

  • Sorry things have been difficult. You know I'm here if you ever wanna rant - vaguely, specifically or whatever. Or for distraction. Your landscape is beautiful by the way, and so are you :D
