Fred Taylor Highlights

Published 2023-06-17
One of the more underappreciated runningbacks (by me included) in NFL history. Great blend of power and size as a runner who had some fantastic highlight plays. Ran for over 1,000 yards seven times, had almost 12,000 rushing yards in his career plus 74 total touchdowns. Taylor doesn't get remembered, because he played in Jacksonville and the runningback position was stacked with talent who got the accolades instead of him.

Fred Taylor was a stud as a powerful back who is a Florida boy from Pahokee. He played high school football at Glades Central in Belle Glade, Florida. Then, he played at University of Florida before being drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He played along with Mark Brunell, Jimmy Smith, Keenan McCardell and Tony Boselli. He runs the ball with passion and wasn’t afraid of contact and cutback from the defenders. He is an all-time Jaguars leader in total rushing yards and touchdowns. I hope someday he’ll go to the Hall of Fame.

Wow, NFL careers are so short.
