I fought for my life in my first official Pokémon Violet hardcore nuzlocke... It went alright I think.

FREQUENTLY COMMENTED QUESTIONS:

Q: How did you do the encounters?

A: I had the map split into a bunch of different sections ( using this helpful app: kiwistate.itch.io/nuzlocke-helper ), each one being a different encounter. I'd flip a coin to determine if I'd get a random wild encounter or a Tera raid encounter in that area. If I got a wild encounter, I'd just randomly pick from the pokemon available in that area and if it was a Tera raid I'd just go to the one closest to me. And after beating a gym I'd be able to catch 3 more pokemon, so I start with only 3 encounters before the first gym, so I can't run around and catch a bunch before a gym.

That being said, Scarlet and Violet don't have many set encounter rules due to them working differently from previous games, so do whatever works best for you! It's not that serious.

Marker: - shows up out of nowhere - looks like a genderbent Jaiden with glasses - makes a banger video as a debut - refuses to elaborate - makes me subscribe to him

This exudes alpharad energy, big fan, and glad to see someone take his style and add their own flare.

"its time for the Fork sweep" Iron Hands gets sent out "the fork sweep has been cancelled" was so good

This was a lot of fun, it was so sad seeing all those sacrifices made, but they were not in vain! R.I.P Roy

"this non-binary robot is the last thing standing between me and the fate of the world" best line of all time you've earned yourself a sub you're very creative and entertaining! hope you get more recognition soon!

This is your first video?! (At least that is public.) It is really well written and edited. Good job! Any secrets to getting that editing style so good with lower experience?
  • @nightingail10
Your edited and pacing in this video is great! Super entertaining!

Your struggle at Iono reminded me how I literally fucking PP stalled the Mismagius to beat it safely. It was hilarious. I don't even know if I was able to expedite the process, I might have just played overly safe to flex.
  • @RyennLovely
Your editing was so fun!!! Looking forward to more videos

Good job on realizing when you were backed into a corner and deciding on making some necessary sacrifices in order to win. That is something that most starting Nuzlockers don't consider at first since they're uncertain of how to proceed when the domino's start to fall. There was ALOT of room for improvement, but you did good for a hardcore nuzlock.

What’s funny is that I definitely think npcs should nickname their mons. It would show character

Another thing that makes Iono's Mismagius even scarier is that there was a terastalization mechanic found a bit back. That mechanic is that when terastalized, any move that is lower than 60 base power is buffed to 60 base power when you are using a move of the type you terastalized into (unfortunately, it takes place after Technician instead of before, so you can't do something like 90 bp Trailblaze on Scizor). So Mismagius is hitting you with base 60 power Charge Beams instead of base 50 power

This took a while to make and it shows. The pacing, the edits, the storytelling. It's fantastic for a first video. I do wosh we got to see the fight vs Team Star Eri because I refuse to believe it came and went with little to no trauma.
  • Quality content dude. Cant wait to see what this channel does in the future.

Great vid! All the editing is so great, and the narrative you've woven is fantastic! (Rip Erm Actually, what a GOAT). Definitely subbed, and looking forward to more!

''I would get more attached to this jumble of ones and zerosthan I am to some real living things" hits too hard
