■大会について
1993年8月19日に東京の両国国技館で行なわれたスーパーファミコン版スト２ターボ全国大会のビデオ（VHS）です。全国各地のゲームショップで行われた大会の優勝者や抽選（葉書など）に当たったプレイヤー約7000人が東京の両国国技館に集結しました。

パッドはスーパーファミコン純正のものが使われ、ボタン設定がデフォルトのままだったので、大パンチがＬボタン・大キックがＲボタンなど操作に制限があったのもこの大会の特徴です。

Watching this brings me tears. My younger early 90's self would never believe we would be able to watch games tournaments on our everyday gadget anytime and anywhere. It's been a long way since those nostalgic days.

懐かしい、小学生の時にこの大会に参加したなぁ。あっけなく敗退したが、アルフライラの生演奏が聞けたり壇上にベガのコスプレしている人が上がって感動したりと色々あったな

The video production is way ahead of its time. This was 93' the split screen, the entire event was ahead of its time super large screen displaying the event wow.

Ah, 90s where the best era for videogames, i remember skipping school because ST and MK tourneys where held on our local arcade store, yet we didnt play for the prize but to prove that we were the best on our little town, good old days, cheers🍷

Thanks for the upload. I love old school footage of ST tourneys. It makes you realize how far the game has come, and which tactics are still popular even to this day.

I used to play this game like it was my religion, finished with every character on SF2, then was a Akuma player later. Came 3rd in a tournament simlar to this in Sydney. This brings back so many memries, loved this video and I bet everyone there had a great time..... AWESOME VIDEO!
