Rome has a special place in my heart. My wife and I spent 3 weeks touring Paris, Rome, Piza, Florence, and Venice ... after I proposed to her on the Eiffel Tower (yes, I did). That was 27 wonderful years ... and two kids ... ago.

I can’t fathom anyone thinking Rome is overrated. I was there over the Thanksgiving week 19’ and not only was the weather perfect, there were no crowds. Heading back for 10 days in November again. Can’t wait. Italy is so awesome.

Rome is an amazing. It is a truly spectacular and wonderfully beautiful city. The Roman people are very friendly and welcoming. The only downside is the noise from their ambulances. Every single one constantly has the siren going when driving anywhere and they do this 24 hours a day.

You Will never see anything in the world greater than Rome ❤️🧡
  • I can say that Rome, from an artistic, historical, archaeological point of view, cannot be discussed, it has an infinite heritage of palaces, ruins, fountains, museums, squares, etc., it is no coincidence that unesco world heritage has put Rome in first place as a "city with more monuments in the world" But I can also recommend the modern side of rome,( if you don't interest the historic/artistic tourism) , which few people know, the city is not only the historic center, it has many things to offer in many impressive modern districts, nightlife, sea with night clubs (yes, Rome has the sea), cinecittà, various chinatowns, shopping malls, Japanese gardens, very large, the largest mosque in Europe (the mosque of Rome, to visit) and many other things, the city has a municipal extension of 1271 km2, about 10 times paris, so you can imagine what there is beyond the historic center if you are interested in the "nightlife" or in any case a tourism of another kind rather than an artistic / cultural one

Oh how I miss my Rome :) So beautiful, so eternal :) I miss every fontanella, every alley, every low building, every Caravaggio, every Bernini. Every car and every motorcycle parked where it couldn't be. Every morning cornetto. Every Napoletana pizza, every Sicilian sweet. Each time each Rome overlapped. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
