  • A good tip I've seen: during cohozuna, the eggs can take out bosses way faster than you. Use 2 eggs for cohozuna and the last one to take out any bosses, that way you keep getting 3 eegs for the price of one.
  • @ShurikanBlade
My tip to everyone is DONT WAIT FOR THE LAST 15 SECONDS OF A ROUND TO USE YOUR SPECIAL. If you're gonna lose a round because you dint have eggs/are being overwhelmed by salmonids. USE YOUR SPECIAL AT THE FIRST SIGN OF THIS not when it's too late. Especially in wave 3. Like there's no reason you shouldn't use your specials in wave 3. Use them at any point in time when you think it'll be beneficial.
  • @Side_N0te
A tip I've seen for Cohazuna: the highest DPS should hard focus Cohazuna, a full charge E-Liter shot can do damage on par with an egg but a lot more consistently.
  • @TB-ho9wd
My jaw dropped when you told about the low tide, high tide waves in the countdown screen. That's such a useful tip.
  • @mobster503
Don’t forget that during the king wave that the egg gun deals roughly 600-700 damage and can obliterate most bosses in one shot, so when you kill a boss use 2 on the big boi and spare one for a particularly annoying boss, like drizzlers or scrapers

Dynamo: Dyna roll does 400 damage, allowing it to run over all lesser salmon, combine with the flick itself u can one shot eel and scrapper, u can also one cycle maw or deal massive damage to chohozona if there's a wall behind u, and insta kill big shots when it's walking towards u, use the vertical flick to kill steal heads as that flick does 300 damage max(horizontal does less for some reason) It's is very helpful in glowflies BUT it CAN NOT oneshot a goldie as it has 600 hp(if u don't one shot with a roll u will get knocked back), so other weapons still have to help chipping down the goldies so the chums won't break through the choke point ur trying to hold

Great tips but more stuff I wish people would know: - Stay out of the shore unless absolutely necessary (Big Shot, Fly Fish, Stinger). If a longer range weapon like squelchers and splatlings can reach them, they should try take care of them. Others can also throw bombs at Stingers. If not, at least go with one other person and don't hoard eggs there. Throw one and grab one if needed. - A higher priority should be placed on inking the walls as they are they most important escape routes you'll have. Being on higher ground is generally better (which is why you should stay out of the pits in Spawning and Gone Fission unless you have a good roller/team clearing the floor). - The lure eggs advice was in the video but if people could stop killing maws, scrapers, flipper floppers, goldies and steelheads at the shore that would be great - Rollers other than carbon rollers, please roll. Only flick if you are in a good position for a boss or jump flick if no one is taking care of that Steelhead. Esp Dynamo Roller it is a beast in SR, though it would be good if a more mobile weapon can support it. Plan your rolls esp for Dynamo. Please don't play roller like one would in Anarchy/Turf - Chargers please think about what you want to shoot and plan it, and generally hang back more (ideally on higher ground) and support your team - There is a box at the very left side of the training area next to the monitor. You can change the current weapons in the rotation there and test them. Get used to the weapons a little before queuing esp with randoms - Cohozuna will follow one person, usually the person hitting at it the most at the moment, so the most mobile weapon should ideally lead it a bit away from your team mates and bosses but not too far. On low tide you can lead it to base where the bosses aren't at first while others clear the bosses then you can lead it back when it's more clear - Also if you have a high damage weapon like a Hydra Splatling or an E-liter etc, keep shooting at the Cohozuna. If you don't have any eggs on you, everyone else should also keep shooting at it anyway. Just try to keep a DPS up. - You can also lure Cohozuna back and forth with two players by having each person stand on the opposite site of it and take turns shooting - I know the Big Shot cannon is great but you don't need 3-4 people at it to shoot all the eggs. Ideally two others should head back to the basket and put the eggs in because if everyone spent all that time sending all the eggs back to the basket with no one to receive them, you'll come back with the eggs being carted off into the sky by salmonids - Keep moving, keep on a lookout for bosses - Communicate. Use This Way when you see priority bosses or need help putting in eggs. Listen to your team mates. Don't be afraid to use "Help" but don't just sit there expecting your team mate to fight their way through to you, likely on low ink. Make it easier for them by crawling to them (grab an egg on the way if you can) - Using specials to get out of a pinch is great, but sometimes using specials when you know shit's gonna go down is even better. Like if you see Stingers, Big Shots and Fly Fish that are far away. (Thinking of the four Flyfish that spawned one on each side of the map once) - Have fun, and just be a nice team mate (Booyahing back is always nice)
  • 1 simple tip is: GET TO HIGHER GROUND. Most salmon like steelhead or scrapper can’t climb small ledges. Most of them have to walk up slopes to reach you. Being higher up offers multiple advantages during a run. 1. You can observe more of the map to see where enemies are coming from. 2. It takes longer for the salmon to reach you. 3. It’s easier to take down taller enemies (slamming lids, steelhead, fishstick, etc). 4. Being higher up reduces the risk of being surrounded. Note: make sure you have a escape root if your force to move.
  • HUGE TIP NOT MANY PEOPLE MAY KNOW: YOU ONLY GET ONE SPECIAL DURING CHOZUNA, SO EVEN IF YOU HAVE NO SPECIAL AFTER WAVE 3 OR HAD BOTH AT THE END, YOU WILL STILL ONLY HAVE 1 SPECIAL AT CHOZUNA! Dont hesitate to use specials!
  • @tnzwelk
One thing that I haven’t seen people mention much is that flipper flop armor does not respawn. If you can ink the zone once to break the armor, but for some reason aren’t able to kill it, you don’t have to ink it again as you can deal full damage to it with every weapon midair and kill it basically instantly.
  • @cutermew
I saw a tip yesterday that blue flyfish lid sends missiles that target all players and the red lid sends missiles that target only the closest player. So getting rid of the blue side first is the best to protect your team
  • @Smug-Sonic
Something I've noticed is that they changed the tide warnings in Splatoon 3 to make them easier to notice. In Splatoon 2, I'd watch the actual water to find out how high it would be because I didn't notice that it tells you at the beginning of the match, and I'm so glad they made the warning stand out more. Small change, but a great improvement.

Bonus fact (I don’t wanna ruin the 33 meaning): Dynamo roller is HELLA useful, and the best weapon for rush mode. When given the chance, slightly push the control stick to move at a slow pace, but still in motion to annihilate the rushing salmonids moving towards you. Try not to do this in tight spaces, as some salmonids will go around your dynamo roller, and rush you to death.
  • @Jornker
Grizzco stringer does more than 999.9 damage, thats just the cap on damage for the training targets, you can see this with the big targets in the lobby
  • Here’s a personal tip. Try to travel in pairs specially when you’re going to venture by the shorelines to kill big shots/stingers so in case one person dies the other can revive/kill the boss. Of course don’t linger in the cannon’s vicinity as you will most likely get swarmed. This tip is useful as well if the charger weapon in the rotation can’t deal with lessers so at least they can deal with steelheads/lids easier without having to worry about being disrupted.
  • Tip - make sure you use your specials before wave 3 ends as you get them for free ( I've seen so many people using specials after wave 3 when they are pretty much useless) so always use your two free specials
  • Small tip, squid roll! Makes movement faster and snappier, can get you out of tight spots, and refills your ink tank faster.
  • @maddie_1122
this might have been said already, but a consistent way to know if cohozuna will spawn is if the countdown on wave 3 says "wave 3 will begin in..." or "final wave will begin in..." if it says "wave 3", you have a xtrawave coming.
  • You can throw eggs and any lesser salmons in close range will go down, at least up to cohock. You can chip damage him though. Sometimes I toss the eggs to the basket but wait an extra moment or two so I can clip salmons swarming me or my teammates nearby.
