I was told that professor Nash gave him the sandwich to validate he was real and not a product of his mind. Makes sense.

Being around passionate math students helped him cope with his illness, RIP

I have a friend who teaches Russian history at Princeton. Imagine my surprise when I told him about this movie and he casually said "Oh yeah I've met John Nash before." 😼 Apparently Nash really did hang out in the library all the time, and had no problem talking to anyone who wanted to meet him.

His wife was the real hero. She put up with what he was going through and took care of him while she got barely any credit. Wonderful women and someone you would fight for.
  • it was his wife who bought him to life again...love has power to do the impossible..

“When was the last time you ate? .. y’know, food?” This is what John’s hallucination said while John was talking about equilibrium at that window in the beginning of the film. Maybe in this context it’s a hint that John thinks the kid’s onto something.

I think his story of triumph over his schizophrenia is the most inspiring aspect of his achievements...

I grew up my whole life with my mother who is schizoaffective.it’s really hard. people don’t understand. this movie touched me in many ways.

"When was the last time you ate?" As professor sees hunger in student's eyes and there's something he can do to fill up that hunger. lol

if a crazy mathematician doesn't write on the walls is he even a crazy mathematician?

This level of math is SOOOOOOOO phenomenal.  I had to look up the verbiage because it is SOOOOOO far above me.  I stand in awe at people who can understand, compute and then put into practical application this level of math.  I thought this was a great movie.
  • Thankfully he wasn't trying to prove the binomial theorem or adding two vectors or some other simple stuff that usually appears in movies to try to give a "sciency" feel in the scenes...

"You're John Nash right?" "My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the armies of the north, general of phoenix legions and loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son. Husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.

Thanks for the upload. This is one of my favorite parts from the whole film.
  • I love Ron Howard he is an amazing man. Loved him since the Andy Griffin Show and later years when he begin to direct movies. Good for him winning so many awards because he works hard to get there!

Why would someone dislike this. I mean, I hate math but I love this movie so much. Really why would someone do that

It's really nice that in spite of everything he was eventually able to mostly overcome his illness and his wife stayed with him.
