At first I thought "This is so embarrassing, they don't even know Spanish and they are trying to enter strangers houses in Mexico" but at the end I had such a warm, fuzzy feeling and a huge smile on my face.

As a Mexican I am very happy with this video. I know the lady said “this is your home now” all I can say is that she 100% meant that. This is why in a lot of Mexican homes we still live with grandparents and parents. I know a lot of cultures make fun of us because there’s three families in one home but truth is that it is just part of our culture. We live, we love, we laugh, we cry, and we take care of each other. Shout out to that beautiful family in Oaxaca for inviting these beautiful “gringos” into their gorgeous home.

Ain't no hospitality like Mexican hospitality. Such a beautiful and rich culture.

As the child of Latino immigrants parents, it made me tear-y eyed to see you guys trying so hard to communicate and connect in their language. Just beautiful. Thank you for sharing these energies with the world. 💛✨

grandma even dresses up for the dinner, what a sweet lady and a wholesome family!
  • @JakeCarlini
This might be the most wholesome video on the internet

This is very encouraging…people should be able to get along like this EVERYWHERE! No politicians allowed!

LOVE THIS FAMILY! The grandma is the matriarch! This family is loved and so lucky to have each other. Many blessings

That grandma is pure love. The entire family was so loving and welcoming. Glad to see you back doing your thing. Keep connecting. Love from South Africa. 🇿🇦

i honestly don't blame them for saying no. Sometimes you don't know who to trust, but I'm glad you all knew that you are good people.

This one had me in tears. Especially when they offered Brooke one of their beautiful aprons. What an awesome experience for everyone involved.

Coming from a Mexican household . This is exactly how we invite and treat people in our house ❤️
  • I love how the Hispanic cultures respect their elders. That Abuelita was certainly the matriarch of that familia and you can see she was deferred to even of the men. How wonderful the hospitality of the entire familia to engage the strangers...even down to the dog.

Being mexican and seeing this video from the pov of a foreigner makes me realize how kind our people are and how beautiful our country is. I want you to know you will always be welcome in our beloved Mexico, a hug to everyone!

One of the reasons im still connected to my Mexican culture is that we were raised extremely friendly. We were taught to always reach out and make friends regardless of any initial barriers. Just live in the moment

As a Mexican I knew that the right family was going to welcome you to their house, to their family. Language has never been a barrier for a Mexican to help or in this case welcome you to their house and to their family. I love my country and I love my people.

I’m an English speaker and I’ve been to Mexico. The people there are so patient and understanding with us, so long as you’re respectful at least. It’s crazy that they give us the amount of respect they do when if they speak their native tongue or have an accent in America, people will literally be racist right to their faces. I have immense respect for the people of Mexico. I respect them more than my own people, honestly.

Im so blessed to have neighbors who immigrated from Mexico they are very generous and friendly they always bring me food i freaking love them 😢❤

Reminds me of the time I lived across the street from a 15 person Mexican family and bucked up and decided to take my elementary Spanish and a guitar to one of their parties. Really heartwarming to see connections that bridge not only cultural but also language barriers.
