Flamework Demonstration - How I Make a 13mm Glass Bead

Published 2024-03-27
This is a close up view over my shoulder as I flamework. You can see my process from start to finish with very little editing as I form a round bead and decorate it with tiny dots. I filmed this demonstration at my glass bench where I work every day so you can get a real feel from inside my studio.

I am using Effetre COE 104 glass
Torch: GTT Lynx

I’ve been following you and your work since I started making beads 15 years ago. Thank you for being so open in sharing your work. When I first started making beads I was thoroughly unimpressed with dots. I thought they were simple. How wrong I was! They still challenge me to this day!

Hello Kristina, I've been watching you now just about two weeks. I'm taking bead glass making classes at art school and loving it. However I know practice makes perfect. You're truly the dot queen😁.

Hi Kristina. My dot bead exploration end about 2003. I was fun. Taught me a lot. Focus and attention. Disaplined my mind.

  • Thank you 🙏 very much! I’m so glad you made this video. I now understand how much planning, preparation, and measuring goes into it as well as how patient you are and how much patience I should have with myself. Truly grateful. I am really excited to go back to the torch as soon as I can. 🥰

I saw your channel pop up in my recommended and subscribed immediately. Wonderful video, thank you for sharing. I have the exact same torch (GTT Lynx), and had to pack all my stuff away a few years ago until I can be in a place where I can set up a studio again. I miss it a lot! Been inspired by your work for a long time. 💚
