I remember how much this album blew me away. It meant so much to me because I was lonely and closeted, but it spoke to me and I loved every song and video. Ironically, it made me feel less alone.

I will always remember the first time I saw you on TV, right before going to school early in the morning, MTV showing Stay With Me, hearing your voice and instantly loving your voice, thank you Sam for so many years of music, but even more I love having been able to see your evolution, not only as an artist, but in your life, seeing yourself more free, seeing you happy, is beautiful.

This album helped me navigate a particularly tough time in my life. I felt very lonely after starting college away from home, then going through a messy breakup. Iβll always cherish how this album made me feel as though I wasnβt the only person on earth going through loneliness. Sam, Iβm eternally grateful for you and your talent.
