The whole joke of ep 2 was that Stolas doesn't really need bodyguards, he's just horny about watching Blitz work. When he started to focus on Octavia he took the would-be attackers out like it was nothing.

He possesses Number Two, raises the dead agents, and has them draw his summoning circle around her in their own blood, all WITHOUT the Grimoire. And he's so powerful that afterwards, he opens the portal home without it and with zero effort.

In my opinion, Episode 6 is THE turning point where Helluva goes from like... a few funny mildly unconnected episodes to a deeply intriguing continuous plot that has genuine weight and makes you care. While also being just fckn badass.

So your thing about ads telling a story making them so fun... is so true. early "distractible" podcast did that before the companies stopped giving the trio creative freedom to do these full skits with multiple advertisers. Mark once went to jail for multiple deaths in a car ad, used his call for a phone service ad to threaten bob and wade, and then escaped thanks to his manscaped delivery in jail
