... and also a cave chicken that I was tempted to kill on the spot, but I decided this was too special a specimen to do so for. I really doubt that it could've wandered in that far on its own, so I presume it was spawned in via a chicken jockey spawn at some point. Either way, we've stepped into the Nether for the first time! ... and I got confused about Piglins being chill with ya should you be wearing gold armor, they aren't. Ah well, now I know and I can be less of an idiot in the future!
