Webb is positioned within the earth's shadow four times further away from earth than the moon is. Pointing the telescope at earth, the moon, or anything else inside the earth's orbit would destroy its electronic hardware.

I love anything to do with space , the technology is so amazing to see all this in my time. We have come along 22:00 way in knowledge. As God says the last 100 years mans knowledge will increase .
