ANOTHER Fishing Industry SCAM? Have YOU Seen This? (Flounder Fishing w/ Lures)

This is a classic marketing tactic that I see everyday I log on to facebook. Beware of these tactics, there is never a need to spend excessively on lures that catch fisherman better than the fish. Watch how we use lures that cost 10 times less and catch just as many fish as their expensive competitors!

Today we are fishing for flounder with shrimp lures and paddle tails. Typically the name brand lures cost us around 8-10 each but we are using my friend Travis home made lures that cost much less to produce.

Where i live in lebanon, theres a lot of local fishermen that have their own brands, and as a teen, getting into using lures, its nice to know that a lure that costs half my allowance isnt actually better than the no name brands at the local shop, thanks alot skipper <3

You know what bait works… whatever one gives you the confidence. You are spot on being able to read the area you are fishing and putting the bait in the right spot.

Haha love your dad's reaction when u showed him your catch 😂. "Look dad I caught a flounder. . 😁" Asian Dad "yeah I know....." An American dad would be like" "wow nice catch son!" Or something encouraging like that..... 😂 Asian dads "what's u want a cookie or something....." Reminds me of my dad when we used to fish😂

  • One of my favorite episodes of all time with you. Been watching for a long time. Just came off peaceful and it's always fun watching a kids reaction to fishing. Your back and forth with the other guys was nice too! Great video, great job.

NLBN is a scam? I don’t think so bro but it’s definitely a little on the pricey side when you go bigger but it catches fish.

Tip for the jig heads; if you push your plastic up almost to the keeper, but then twist the upper part of the plastic about 90° before pushing it up on the keeper, THEN straighten it—it will stay on better.

The best soft plastics that always catch fish is Zman....if you notice z man doesn't make their baits crazy looking just excellent materials and engineering the action.

Freshwater angler here. I've learned that if you are fishing waters where fish have never seen a lure or fly, and are hungry, they will hit on almost anything. But if you are in waters where there is intense fishing pressure, then they get very selective on what they'll take. It takes awhile to figure out what they want, and it's not necessarily the most expensive item.

I fish in the Midwest and I fish a lot for walleyes. I have found that all you need to do is to keep it simple. I have have great success using these to rigs. I fish a slip sinker rig with a snelled circle hook with a large minnow hooked in the tail. I will also fish a 1/8 ounce jig with half of a crawler on it and slow drag it back. Very inexpensive especially when you catch your own bait.
  • This was dope! And thanks for putting the facts out there. I recently started up make my own baits. But what I have learned from fishing and apply it to the bait at a fraction of the cost.

Glad to see you finally using lures to catch fish! Good video ❤
  • Hi my friend, I have a question for you. You said fishes are color blind , so why when you sell your orange weights, you said the color of the weights in the setup is very important.......🤔 aren't they color blind?
  • 😂😂 finally I been saying it for years man , nobody wants to believe it. Good for you telling the truth man.

2 days ago I was in Ocean city MD, I watched a guy catch a ton of keeper speckled trout. I checked out his nlbn and bought the same one. threw in the same spots. never caught a fish. lol
