My new AGUILAR AG700 Bass Amp

Had the Ag 700 loved it

I went into my local guitar shop recently and played the AG 700 through Aguilar cabs (light cabs), it is a BEAUTIFUL sounding amp, much better in my opinion than the Tone Hammer and THE best sounding bass amp I ever heard. However, I was using a Fender Jazz bass (4-string, passive) with no pedals plugged into the AG 700 and I noticed it cut-out frequently. All the videos I had seen on YouTube didn’t seem to do that. Any idea why it was cutting out when the gain knob was at 11:00 and every demonstration video I have watched on it is at or higher than 11 but I didn’t notice it cutting out. This is the only thing keeping me from purchasing it. If you know why and how it can be prevented let me know. The only thing I wasn’t aware of was whether I had the active or passive switch on, but I was playing through a passive bass. Thanks!

Yeah, that's the one I play through at the music stores out here. Just waiting for Sire to get new stock.

I have this and like it a lot. Great video. What do you think of using fender emminince 4x10 with this?

Sounds great Eddie. I wonder why they put so much on the front. Would have maybe given a smaller footprint.
