Is this the wierdest LEGO set ever? Well it's one of the largest peices I've ever spoken about in a video, that's for sure.

first thought seeing that pod was using it as a chassis for a titanfall-like mech and that first moc executed that idea perfectly

One day I will find the Egg at a random Flea Market and it will be glorious.

I don't know where I read it, so don't quote me on this, but I heard Galidor was so bad that most, if not all, of Bionicle's profits went to recouping the losses from Galidor.

3:52 "I would argue it looks more like a toy [from McDonald's]." It's funny because there was a small run of Galidor toys from McDonald's to promote the show in ~2003! I personally had the Nick and Jens toys from that promotional line.
  • I had every Galidor set as a kid including the egg ship and the Kek Powerizer. Still have them to this day. As a kid I loved them, so even though they are a failure from a business standpoint, I have good memories of then as a child.

thank you for showing the moc by Steve Puckett. I remember seeing that Galador mech moc a long time ago but didn't know who made it, and I couldn't find his mocs.
  • @Amythiz
Mechs are cool, but this piece also looks like a helmet, imagine using it as a head for a giant moc
  • you could change the rubber sockets for 3d printed sockets that are compatible with standard technic connections, massively increasing usability

Galidor may have almost bankrupt lego but MAN it's so underated(in my opinion at least)
  • @Kalhiki
I remember seeing Steve Puckett's mocs years ago. Had no idea what Galidor was, and was so confused as to what the pieces were that he was using. I really feel I need to get some more Galidor pieces. Keep seeing such cool mocs utilizing them!
  • I've gotta highlight Kevin H's entry to the Biocup this year "The Harvester" where he does just what you were describing at the end of the video!
  • i never even knew this existed and neither did I think it would be this big, holy crap.

Lego element moulds cost 200,000$ to 360,000$! That is a pretty good house in some places!

Man I remember Galidor…the show was okay. It was a wonky sci-fi thing. Then Lego got in and the figures were SPENDY.
  • @Zakading
I still remember having this thing and a few other Galidor sets, never knew what it even was about and still always loving it.
  • I really loved the idea of swappable limbs, I was a big fan of medabots, but I just would really have to agree with other people's opinions on this series, to put it politely. Would love to see a similar idea. Buildable action figures with limbs you are encouraged to swap around.
  • Never knew this existed. Looks rather cool, but I doubt most people would even know it is Lego.
  • @StarkSpider24
Thank you for reminding me of the name “Glidor” I’ve been wracking my brain for years trying to remember what it was called.
  • @thelunaist2014
I definitely had the module as kid, getting it from a garage sale loose and was definitely aware of Lego. Had no clue it was Lego as kid makes sense why it ended up in a garage sale.
