Dude legit threw away his home, his freedom, his life because he read a post on Twitter telling him laws aren't real 😆
  • @MegaFortinbras
The thing that gets me about the Sovereign Citizen clowns is that they say that the law does not apply to them, but they have rights under the law. It's called having your cake and eating it too.
  • @abutts02
We need more judges like this one, where he has zero tolerance for nonsense.
  • @nicklovell5872
"Am I being penalised if I don't sign?" "I'll throw you in jail if you don't sign..." Boom.
  • @golden-63
Slobberin citizens are the comedy gift that keeps on giving.
  • @DenishaSeals
Honestly, I agree with the judge. The stupidity and disrespect needs to stop!
  • @MojoPup
Personally, I think 30 days in jail might have been just what Smith needed. Sometimes, you just can't fix stupid but you can realign it a little
  • @DrownedInExile
I remember this one, Judge was epic. "Your knowledge of the law is, to put it very mildly, extremely lacking." "I don't need to convince you! You aren't interested in being convinced." What a surprise, he ignored the court order. I hope he faces this same judge again!
  • @DOtherWhiteMeat
About time a judge stood up to these people. They think if they spout nonstop gibberish long enough they will get away. Meanwhile they waste everyone’s time.
  • @Flamingtorso
We need more Judges like this judge. Most of these solvcits cases get thrown out, emboldening them further.
  • @kimward5746
why are they always small little argumentative men with suspended licenses?
  • I'm sick and tired of these entitled people thinking they can do what they want without consequences, such as "Sovereign Citizens" and Karens/Kens. I respect the judge for his calm approach to this situation and I hope Smith gets caught and is sentenced to 1-5 years for his actions.
  • @tonicipriani2030
I'm sick and tired of those who think that the law doesn't apply to them or that these "Sovereign Citizens" think they are above the laws of this country.
  • @dx1450
"The corpus delecti in this case is kind of funky..." LOL, such a great legal argument, I'd put this up against anything Oliver Wendell Holmes ever said...
  • @johnjones5354
If Judges would stop purging or forgiving these contempt charges, perhaps some of these maroons would get the idea that their magic incantations are not going to work.
  • @echo-channel77
Yes, their is a way to be a sovereign citizen and remove yourself from a court's jurisdiction. It's quite simple. Leave the country. By remaining in the country, your presence establishes a social contract, which provides moral and political rules - and freedoms, as per our Constitution and Bill of Rights. You may elect to exit this contract by merely removing yourself from society.

Props to the prosecutor, because you know he was trying his hardest not to laugh.
  • As an aficionado on sovereign citizens, the fact he failed to appear on his next court date comes as no surprise.
