Winchester "Silvertips" were originally developed specifically for werewolf hunting. They were so effective that werewolves are nearly extinct. Winchester kept the Silvertip in the lineup because they are effective on other game also (who knew?) and, y'know...just in case.

Honestly, I think you would want to have a silver-plated, or otherwise coated bullet, when shooting at a werewolf. That way, the silver would not just punch straight through, like we saw with these bullets, and instead would be left behind inside the body to continue to apply the magical damage over time effect against the werewolf. I'd go for pellets, like buckshot, personally.
  • This man has made the golden standard for a YouTube channel. He started incredibly humbly, kept it that way, never went corporate, keeps things exciting but not so huge that it's unnatainable and can't be outdone, and just makes content for the fun of it, not nessecarily for the money. All creators should aspire to be you. You are the pinnacle of YouTube. Keep it up.

Incase anyone was wondering, the amount of silver Scot shot today was: 9mm = 121 grains, .45 = 197 grains, .44 Mag = 185 grains, .500 Mag = 272 grains, .308 = 182 grains and the .50 BMG = 752 grains for a total of 1709 grains. Silver is valued at $0.0438 per grains, so the value of these bullets was $82.55. Then there was the 12 gauge with 1.4 oz of silver, the silver value per oz. is $23.38. This means the 12 gauge was worth $32.73. So the Grand Total is $115.28 worth of silver shot by Scott.

Scott, I would think the .45 caliber would be the one you'd want. The silver stayed in the werewolf thereby keeping the spell working. All the others blew through and let it come back to life, except for the .50 cal. That was pretty definitive.
  • If you had to defend yourself from a werewolf what would you use? I hope you enjoyed today's video and thanks for watching!

I’ve seen a documentary about silver bullets. The conclusion was they have terrible accuracy and just go right through instead of stopping and expanding. So I pretty much knew you’d get the results you got.
  • @jpwolf5
Thar slow-mo of the 50bmg at point blank was the best thing I have ever seen.
  • @tmango78
The slo-mo of that .50 cal has to be one of the greatest pieces of cinematography involving a werewolf since Teen Wolf! Well done Scott
  • @JediSamson
The interesting thing is...if you consider the Lore around werewolves and their biological reactions to silver, one might be inclined to surmise that minimum penetration is actually MORE desirable because the longer that the bullet stays in the body, the more damage it'd do to the werewolf through autoimmune responses. Of course that wouldn't make for a fun video, only shooting slow, under-powered rounds. Gods I love this channel. Scotty you're awesome, never change!

5:02 lol the whoopsie with the chronograph scene was hilarious 😂😂lol goofy and funny!! love i
  • @MayBeSomething
Keep in mind that silver bullets don't just deal physical damage to werewolves. They also deal arcane damage, which is difficult to capture without a live werewolf.
  • @GannAinm
A sterling performance, absolutely blew that werewolf's mind.
  • @JackVinlove
Who else got confused but the 44 magnum because the thought they for sure saw the bullet hit the vest and fly off 10:32
  • @grapeape_76
Btw, lead has a 10% higher density than silver, so a silver bullet will have a little less mass than a lead bullet of identical dimensions. Pure silver is less malleable than lead and falls between lead and copper in terms of hardness so it will not break apart or expand as easily.
  • @colbywoolsey3113
You never know how much you needed to see a warewolf get domed by a silver 50, until you see it. 😳
  • Monster Hunter International is an exceptional book, written by Larry Correia. There are 6 books approximately and they are so well written! One of the best sci-fi series that I've read over these 60+ years.
