Growing up I never had a father, but I was wrong, for my father in heaven has always been here. My mother did her best, and Jesus filled in the rest of the blanks.

Out of all things that I have been searching for to help me learn how to pray... this, this beautiful man, who I have never heard of made me tear up and talk to my Dear Dad like I want to. With the utmost respect but stripped of all the frills and pomp. I talked to him like I would my own father which is very difficult for me. I have an almost non-existant relationship with my father. With tears in my eyes, I prayed the most honest I could. It felt so good just to speak to him! He is so beautiful to me. He is in my son's eyes, hes in my daughter's smile, hes in my husband's kiss. I havent felt so at peace in a long time. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Amen, I'm in recovery. This is one of the most important parts of my day, all I ask after giving thanks is one more day of sobriety.
