Just want to say mate: these videos are absolutely fantastic. You can read your Haynes and think "yeah, I can probably do that" and work your way through things. But there's nothing like the confidence you get from watching someone else do it first. And not in some chopped up 3 minute clip, but a full, in depth, start to finish process. I do as much as I can on my bike myself, and approaching a job armed with this kind of supporting information is such a help. Don't ever stop. I'm especially looking forward to seeing you put the Nitron on the fighter, because my Sprint has a saggy arse and she needs one too.
  • Probably the best most detailed chain breaker/press video on the net. Great Job !

I’m 70 and never done a chain before. Split links, yes, but not this type. A neighbour promised to help but he’s got a family and is busy.... fair enough. My local motorcycle garage closed down. Chain needed replacing on my SV650S.... no confidence in doing it myself. Then, I found this video and watched it several times until I felt confident enough to do it myself. Well, I did it and had a few ride outs since. This video was so well made and presented by Delboy that he deserves a big slap on the back. Well done mate and thank you very much.

Incredibly detailed explanation. As someone who trained, and worked as an industrial maintenance engineer for many years, I really appreciate the candid, humorous, and pragmatic way that you approach these tasks. Tutorial videos just don't get any better than this in my opinion.

6 years later still the Go To tutorial for chain swap

I can't express enough how wonderful these videos are. I expect nothing less than fantastically in depth guidance yet I still find myself blown away at the end of each video by the pure supportive information you give. It shows how passionate you are about not just motorcycles but the community as well by teaching us how to care for our machines properly. Thank you again for these videos!

Del and Penny, I changed my chain myself RK 520GXW using DID chain tool. I went ahead with every step confident on the progress made thanks to your video. I just couldn’t end my day without expressing my gratitude for the great service you guys did. Kudos !

Three years later this is still so incredibly useful! Really appreciate the detail added via the drawings showing how everything works. Thanks a million 👍

I have to say, if i was scared to do the change myself, you now gave me the confidence i needed. You make it look easy. All the details and explanations are well appreciated. Keep those videos coming, you were born to do them Del.

Guy is a natural with bikes! Takes his time, explains every detail and the theory of how it works before moving on to the practical side of things. An asset to us bikers.

Used your video about 5 years ago to do 3 chains. Need to do another one now and just come back to go over it again. Such a great video. Nice explanation, close ups which are needed for us to see what’s happening. You do a great job of going over every stage, explaining what you’re doing and why. This should be the go to video for chain removal and replacement. Top job mate. My original comment is just a few below 😃 Thanks, Ben
  • I have seen many videos about chain breakers, but this one was by far the best. Thank you for going into such detail on all the steps. Best regards from Sweden
  • @peter3352
Omg, this is insane. The most detailed video I've seen on youtube. Well done, I'm changing my chain tomorrow and I could pay my friend to do it for $30 but I wanna try myself. Because of your video, I am confident that I will have no issues. Thank you!
  • @leminako
Hi Del and Penny, AMAZING attention to detail for doiing this task. Gives me great confidence to do it my self when the time comes. Btw, the gold chain matches perfectly with the gold"ish" coloring of the exhaust. Take care Dieter
  • @grahamlawton6436
Excellent advice. I’m 72 and have just replaced the chain and sprockets on my Ducati with Delboy’s advice. Nice one mate. 😊
  • @haydnjones4816
Many similar videos on here, but when I eventually remember this channel its always crystal clear after watching. Thank you.
  • @evansolomon169
Did this in the winter of 2018 to replace a stock chain that had a stiff spot. Watched this video a time or two before tackling it. The way you took the time to explain the entire process, the whys and hows helped a lot.
  • @k1ortia
One of the best and informative bike related videos iv ever seen. Down to earth, no bull and easy to follow. 👊🏽
  • This really helped me to do my first chain swap on a friend's bike. Magic hands and looots of brains. Thanks to Penny for the nice angle of the camera too.
