No rental car for this video; instead, I wanted to share a few hours of my fireplace with you. This is a 3 hour fire using dried pieces of oak (the smell is amazing). Well....the ~FIRE~ was three hours long. The video obviously is not. It's surprisingly difficult to remain completely silent in your living room for 3 hours. So to spare you the annoyance of hearing me walking around, I edited video down to 2 hours.

But...I made sure to film myself setting up and maintaining the fire. I hope you enjoy that bit. My wife and I used to watch fire videos in the wintertime (at our hold house) and we were always annoyed that the "no loop" videos were obviously looped. The wood never burned down and the author of the video never maintained the fire. So I tried to do something different with this video. You will see me often readjusting the wood, adding new logs, and restarting the fire when it burns low. Hopefully, that bit is enjoyable (and not too loud).

Thanks for watching. And, please, let me know what you think!

Happy Holidays all! No car review video today (obviously). But, I did want to say thank you for a wonderful year. Thank you everyone for making this YouTube thing fun. If it wasn't for your supportive comments, I would have stopped reviewing cars ages ago. Stay warm. Be well. And swing back over here on Sunday. I'll have my review of the 2020 Chevy Spark posted by then. Cheers!

This is just what I was looking for, a fireplace with the wood actually being consumed. The “looping” videos are so monotonous. Good job!
  • @rinasweetness
It was really satisfying to see someone add the wood and hear the rustle in between that. Thank you for not editing that out.
  • How thoughtful you are for sharing such a gift with everyone who doesn’t have a real fireplace. 😊 Thank you so much
  • Sometimes it's perfectly fine to hear someone walking around in the background in a live / unlooped fireplace video.
  • @Nashleyism
Yessss, a real, unlooped fireplace! Thank you ❤

Is it only me who find these sounds of arranging firewood and fire starting very relaxing?
  • Finally, a fireplace video that doesn't sound like firecrackers going off or popcorn popping 🍿

Thanks for uploading this! It's so nice to have this playing while I lay on my couch/take a nap. I don't have my own fireplace and having this video with the fire getting stoked is super sweet and relaxing. Thanks for no ads as well!!

The live action of tending the fire really made this video great! Thanks for posting :)

  • My 6 year old daughter falls asleep to this every night. It's the only thing that helps. Thank you 😊

A very cozy ambiance. Thank you! Reminds me of my grandmother’s place back in Scotland.

Thanks for making this. It's just before Thanksgiving, and I finally have a small couch I wrestled into my third floor apartment after three years of not having anything but my dining chairs to sit on. This video makes lounging on the couch with the lights down low and a hot cup of tea the best way to spend this Saturday evening here in Pittsburgh. Thank you!!!

Thank you, helping to calm me in moments of deep stress and sadness.

I was born and raised in a big city and I lived my entire life in a tiny apartment. I remember visiting my grandparents in the countryside when I was little, after dinner they would light their small fireplace and I would spend all night sitting on my grandpa's big armchair just staring at the flames, mesmerized. sometimes I think that the only thing I want out of life is a small house with a fireplace and a comfy armchair, and that'd be enough to make me content. thank you for uploading this!

If you ever made another video like this I would not be upset.
