    your right. Simply amazing.
  • Good morning Bill and thank you Iris. This was amazing. The HOURS of practice time must be astounding to achieve such precision.

Top Secret Drum Corp is Swiss, They are all amateurs. They are a display band, The Royal Marines are obviously a military band
  • @QBTO
Two of the best drum lines in the world together 😎 Military bands could be an interesting sideline for you Bill 😁 Check out The Massed Pipes and Drum at The Edinburgh Tattoo.

I was in The Hawthorne Muchachos in the mid 1970s. Jeff Kievit was the horn line Instructor, as he "aged out" the year prior. He was one of the best trumpet players I've ever heard, still to this Day. I remember the Show we did was extremely difficult with parts in 5/4 time. The left & right sides of the Corps had to hear each other to maintain synchronization. At one show, the bus with the uniforms didn't show up in time & we marched onto the field in our shorts & t-shirts. Then the worst possible thing happened. That field had an echo bouncing off the tall stadium walls in front of us. Both horn & drum acoustics coming back to our ears. I was on the right side. When listening to "synch" with the left side on the field, the guys couldn't decipher the actual playing vs the echos. We fell completely apart & at that point there was no turning back. After our performance there was barely any applause. The Top Secret Corps would've been compared to The Caballeros Senior Drum Corps. Those guys practice 12 hours/day & hold full time Day jobs. I am always amazed by their performances!

yeah extraordinary stuff Top Secret , the HM Royal Marines and the Scottish National Pipe & Drum Corps and Military Band are the best of the best of the best
  • @WNYretiree
That was so much fun. Thanks to Iris for suggesting this video. I was smiling all the way through. It looked to me like Top Secret was using in ears. I couldn't see if the Royal Marines were or not. Makes sense that they would and just wondering if that is SOP for all drum corps these days?
  • ❤I love the drums so much, my son is a drummer and used to shake the whole house haha. It got to the point where the neighbors would stop in front of the house to listen to him😊
  • Hi Bill, my American Sinterklaas!🤣🤣I was surprised to see you reacting to this drum video but I don't mind it at all haha. I am a great fan of Top Secret. Imho they are the best of the best! You can hear them shout Top Secret in the beginning! They have performed at several Edinburgh Military Tattoos, which I always watch on the BBC as it sadly too expensive for me to go to Scotland. Top Secret always find new ways to entertain the public. They have performed in black light so all you can see is their white drumsticks and their white musketeer feathers. It is fantastic to watch and sometimes they have fire coming out of their sticks. They also use the flagpoles to drum onto. But their precision is phenomenal! Did you noticed that their snare drums are on the same level whether the drummer is small of large? And their white stockings also? Always a joy to watch. Greetings!

THANK YOU😍 Merry Xmas @BemusingBill ! The guys with the feathers are Swiss and the Royals are British of course ☺ that's all I know about it. So fun to hear your history with this!
  • @oniebaloney
that was so enjoyable 🥰 sending you and your wife christmas wishes 🎄
  • @johnbelcher7955
The sound of the drums reminded me of Benny Goodman Orchestra & Gene Krupa "Sing, Sing, Sing" Gene Krupa1930's
  • @javadan
I was in the Des Plaines Vanguard. Our drum line was really good, but nowhere near this good. Wow! I enjoyed this immensely.

Great reaction again, I love drummers. I looked to see if you had already responded to Junna, which you haven't yet. Junna does a drum cover of the group DragonForce which should definitely be seen and listened to, it will blow your mind. I am curious for your reaction!
